***Summer***
Ten Years Later
Lynx POV
The sounds of chain clanging woke me up from my dream as I gasped for air, I looked around and saw that I was in my cell, chained to the wall like an animal.
The nightmare I had was the last thing that linked me to my family and anyone else in particular. Since I was thrown here, nobody had paid me a visit, not even to torture me. Food were left when
I was asleep and I ate ravenously because it took a lot time for the next ration to come in.
I had a bucket kept for defecation purpose which was connected to a pipe outside and when it was time for me to have a bath, the water spores attached to the ceiling was turned on, drenching me in the process.
For the first few years of my life, I counted my days using tally marks on the wall and talking to myself so I could kill the boredom. Of course if I was lucky enough, I would hear conversation as people passed me by and I'll spend all day lying on the ground staring at the little opening seeing feet walking around.
I didn't know where I was but I knew that this has to be where my Captor lived.
His name, was the one thing I never forgot, I mumbled it over and over as a mantra, keeping me going each day.
I knew I was going to kill him, I craved it. I wanted to know what his screams would sound like once I had him.
It was getting better when I turned 18 and found my wolf, Lynne. That night was horrible, I had spent hours screaming in pain as my bones broke and shifted one by one, furs covering my body as my screams turned to howls. It took the entire night for me to shift as it was a slow process. It was even more painful as I was malnourished and wasn't prepared for it, as soon as the sun came up, I passed out from shock and hunger.
Not that my screams brought anyone even to tell me to shut up.
Lynne was the only thing that kept me company, she spoke to me as I kept repeating my words of vengeance to her, and making her repeat it to me.
I turned around and laid down on the ground trying to get some sleep. It was my twentieth birthday, after all. Ten years after that man came to my life and turned it into a living hell.
Just then, my ears perked up as I heard the sounds of footsteps.
I laid down and closed my eyes tightly, food wasn't supposed to come today neither was a shower....what was happening.
I had no clue and things went for the worse as the door was being unlocked and opened for the first time in ten years as two guards stepped in.
"Think she's dead?" One said in scorn as his friend laughed.
"Possibly, that would explain why here reeks. She is more of a mummy than a person at this point." He answered as he walked towards me.
I shifted and scurried to the wall, as they tugged at my chain before taking it off.
"How does the Alpha wants her?" The first guard spoke as the other hummed underneath his breath.
"Well cleaner... Let's take her." He said as they dragged me out of the cell roughly. Shouting wasn't an option, the tight grip they had on me, told me of the pains I would receive if I was being a pain in their ass.
Two girls were waiting for me once we got outside and I was ordered to follow them. My legs hurts from stepping on pebbles and hard surfaces but I couldn't say anything. I walked kind of wobbly since it had been long I walked a very long distance.
Soon I was led to a spacious bedroom and an even more luxurious bathroom as the girls made sure to give me a bath. They scrubbed every inch of me and washed my hair thoroughly. I watched the dirty water leave the drain and for a moment I wished I could escape like them.
They didn't say anything to me, then led me to the bedroom and fed me. I ate everything they gave me and they made me brush my teeth thoroughly.
After dressing me up in more formal dresses and placing flat shoes in front of me, I looked at myself in the mirror, my dirty blonde hair was cleaner and my blue eyes sparkled in the light.
I had been dressed up as a doll, a beauty doll.
This was me, but I didn't recognize myself at all.
"It's time for you to meet the Alpha. He is waiting for you." One of the girls spoke as I opened my mouth and closed it, before saying softly,
"Who?"
"Alpha Onyx Everdeen. He demands your presence." She said as anger, fear and pain ripped through my body. I wanted to hide and at the same time I wanted to rip his heart out.
But I couldn't do any of that as the girls held my hands and said,
"It's best if you don't struggle. He really is merciless to people like you. Just don't provoke him and your head won't roll today."
She said as a bid to comfort me as she smiled at me.
I said nothing as I allowed myself to be led to the main palace. This was the place where the object of my misery lived, it's been ten years since I last set my eyes on the man who made me an orphan.
This time around, I'm setting my eyes on the man that I'll have fun killing.
It was time for my revenge to start.
"Alpha Onyx...she is here as ordered." One of the girls spoke as a voice spoke,
"Bring her in." Just then the guards at the door pushed it open and we entered.
