Jared's Gone

*Darci's p.o.v.*

Henry takes me out of the tavern and back to our campsite I hadn't noticed but Henry started to carry me about halfway to the site. I think that everything is finally hitting me and just as we were about to enter the site and Jenny and Jack saw that I was being carried by Henry. They rushed up to me and they started to ask questions "Is she okay? What happened? Does this have anything to do with Jared?" As soon as I heard that snakes name I started to cry. I don't know why I was unable to control it. Henry told them that I should be resting and when I was ready I would let then know what happened to me. I would forever be thankful that Henry never tells anyone anything unless he is told that he can. I saw that he was staring at me and I gave him the smallest smile that I could muster. Henry took me to my tent then sat me down on my bed and grabbed me some paper and a pencil to write with and then he scooted up a seat, so that he was close but not too close. He was looking me directly in my eyes and that is when I noticed that I was done with the crying for now and now I am shaking very much. "Okay I know you don't really want to talk about it buy I need to know what you want to do. I will let you know that Jared will not be bothering you ever again." I snapped my head so that I could look in his eyes and then I looked down at my pad and started to write "What do you mean you didn't kill him did you?" he gave me a chuckle and then told me how the police had showed up just in time to save Jared from his wrath but not the wrath of the law. I stared at his eyes to try and tell if he is telling the truth, I didn't see anything in his eyes that would tell me that he was lying. I went on to write "I need you to do me a favor it has to do with my job at the tavern." He looked at me like I was crazy for even bringing it up at a time like this. I continued "It's important I made a deal that I would work in the tavern for the week that we were here and I need to keep that promise no matter what I don't want to lose any points with Mr. Brown." Henry stopped me from writing "I will let him know how you are and that I will be covering for while you are not feeling well with that be okay." I nodded and then I grabbed his hand and that made him jump I think he is thinking how am I able to hold his hand like this after what could've happened. I release his hand then wrote "I find you comforting I am at ease when I am with you no matter what has happened. Here in a minute could you grab Jenny and Jack for me please I think they need to know what happened to me and what is happening to Jared. And before you say anything I think they deserve to know." He just nodded and after of holding hands for a couple minutes he then went and grabbed the two like I wanted. Jenny practically ran in to give me a hug and then Jack wasn't too far behind her, he also gave me a hug. As if to since that I didn't want the hug to last that long after a few seconds he let go and then let Jenny have the chair he stood behind the chair to give me plenty of room so I don't feel suffocating. "So, honey what happened?" looked at the both of them and then I wrote what Jared had done to me and then I let them know that Jared was arrested by the police. I also told them that I was still keeping my deal with Mr. Brown I will have Henry cover my shift there till I feel okay again. After everything was said Jenny gave me another big hug and then Jack spoke "I am glad Jared is getting what he deserves I hope he rots forever and dies in the jail here. Even if he gets out he will not be allowed to come nears you, you know what he isn't even going to be able to come near this group again." I gave him a smile like I liked the sound of that I can't wait to see what he gets for trying to r**e me. I then wrote that I would like to rest. They got up and left before Jenny left she turned back to me and said that if I needed anything that I just need to ask and thy will try to help. I wrote that I would like to talk to Henry one more time before I go to bed they nodded and then left my tent. While I was waiting from Henry to come back to my tent I wrote a letter for Mr. Brown letting him know that I will not be to work for a few days and that Henry will be covering for me. Henry then entered my tent while I was signing my name. "Was there something you need?" I nodded and then handed him the letter to give to Mr. Brown he looked down at the letter and then he smirked trying to make me laugh and then stated that he was not a mail man. I giggled he achieved his mission. I patted the spot next to me and he sat down on my bed and then he jumped a little bit because I leaned on him. I thinks because of what happened I would be scared of all men but I do know that he would never hurt me. We sat there in silence then after a little bit he told me that he was going to go to bed since he now has an early day. I hadn't realized that it was not night time and I waved him good-bye. I myself went to bed not to much later I woke up the next morning to make sure Henry was up he wasn't really a morning person. I went to his tent and saw that he was still asleep I shook him and made him wake up he rolled over and slowly opened his eyes, then he noticed that I was the one waking him up and he jolted awake and out of bed he forced me out of the door so he could get ready once he was out of his tent I made sure he had the letter with him and then I curled my finger into hook and made him bend down and I he did bend down to my height. I gave him w quick peck on the cheek as a thank you for him doing this for me the next few days it took him by surprise I then gave him a nudge as to let him know that he need to get going or he was going to be late I watched him walk down the road then I walked over and started to do laundry once I was done with that I went back to bed I am now ahead of the game for the next few hours.

How will Mr. Brown react to Henry covering for Darci?
