I casually fixed my dress and so as my hair before leaving the bathroom. When I got back at the ballroom, Jerico is still talking infront.
"Where have you been?" Mom asked.
"Restroom." I replied and didn't look at her.
It took hours before the event was finally over. All I did was smile to every wealthy person Jerico introduce me to.
It was quite frustrating because my body is getting tired, especially because I just had s*x with Joseph in the bathroom. Everytime I turn my gaze upon him, he was smirking and I canmt help but to blush.
I sighed as I sat on the bed when we finally got home. My feet are killing me! I endured that for hours.
That's the thing I hate with events, I'm starting to think if this was the best decision I have ever made.
I just tried to calm myself down because, no matter how my situation is now, it's not as bad as before.
"I'll be sleeping in the guest room." Jerico said as I was fixing my hair.
"Okay." I uttered. He didn't reply and just left.
Come to think of it, my parents had the worst taste in finding a man for me. They should've paired me with Joseph instead, he's more fun than Jerico.
Jerico's plain and too boring for me. Sure, he's a successful business man but too boring. He doesn't even want to share a room with me, what a complete joke.
The next morning, I woke up only to find the whole mansion empty again. Jerico didn't even left a note or even a text that he will be out.
I know, he's busy and all. However, it's not an issue to be honest, but, he should've said something.
It's been boring hanging aroung inside a mansion with complete silence and no one to talk to. Luckily, I received a phone call from my older brother who's out of the country.
"Hey Christian, what's up?" I answered.
"How are you, my favourite sister?" I scoffed because of his reply.
"Silly, I'm your only sister. I'm doing well, actually. How about you? When are you coming home?" I laughed lightly.
"I have a scheduled flight tonight, I was hoping to meet you and have dinner."
"Oh, really? Does mom and dad knows?"
"No, I decided not to tell them. It will only be the two of us. I have great news."
I pouted my lips.
"I'm in!"
Christian is my older brother.
Unlike me, he didn't let our parents control his life. He was able to turn his back on them, even though it was difficult, because he couldn't tolerate what our parents were doing to him.
He lived in France with our grandparents. Ever since he stood up for himself against mom and dad, he flew to France to have a peaceful life.
I wanted to be like him, to be free. But unfortunately, I wasn't able to do it.
I had just finished getting ready when Christian texted me. He sent me the address of the place where we were going to eat, and before I left, I used the car that Jerico's parents gifted us when we got married.
"Damn, you look good, sister." Christian approached me and gave me a hug.
"Not so bad yourself, brother." I smiled at him.
We sat on the table he booked for as and did a little chat while waiting for our food. Christian been talking nonstop about him travelling around the world.
I'm happy to see him happy and healthy. Too bad he's alone. It must be hard for him to live on his own. I just wish he will meet someone who will travel along with him.
I asked him why he's still single, he told me that he have no plans on dating someone at this moment.
"How is your marriage going? Is it good?" He asked.
"Yeah, it's fine." I said, ignoring eye contact.
"Don't lie to me. I know when you're lying." He demanded, arms around his chest.
I sighed. "It's not that bad. We're just not getting along so well. But I don't mind."
"You're okay with that? I told you, you should've just let me take you to France so you could have a better future."
"It's okay, don't worry. I can handle it." I smiled at him.
I can handle it because I will only act like his wife whenever he needed it. And besides, I don't need to worry about him being absent.
It will only mean that I will have a chance to see Joseph. All is well with him, We both know we're only doing it because we want to have s*x. Nothing else.
God, just thinking about him feels like I'm about to melt. I'm missing him.
"What's with the smile? Are you inlove or something?" I turned my glance into Christian who's raising his eyebrow at me while teasingly smiling.
"What smile? I'm not smiling!"
"You like someone, do you?" I cringed at what he just said.
Duh, I don't like him. I only like hooking up with him. Christian surely gets the wrong idea.
"No, silly. I'm just glad to see you. It's been a while ever since we hang-out. It feels like it's been years..." I said in a very thin voice.
"How would you like to go with me in France? I'm sure your husband wouldn't mind." My eyes widened.
"Wait, really? You want me to go with you?" I smiled widely.
"Yes, if your husband lets you."
"I'm sure he will." I confidently replied.
After the dinner, I went straight at home. I was still thinking about what Christian told me. I'm not so sure if Jerico would let me.
But he wouldn't mind, right? It's not like I'm going with a stranger or anything. Christian is my brother after all.
I got out of the car and locked it before walking towards the front door. When I opened it, I was surprised to see the lights are on and my jaw dropped to see Joseph on the sofa.
"Joseph? What are you doing here—"
"Where were you? And who's the guy you were with?" He said in a dead tone.
I remained standing where I was and I can sense his anger and I wanted to laugh. Is he... jealous?
"What guy?" I acted confused.
He stood up and walk towards me while his hands are formed into fists.
"Don't play dumb with me. I saw you having dinner with another guy." I smirked at him.
"Joseph..." I brushed my hands into his cheeks. "That guy is..." Down to his neck. "My brother, Christian..." And finally wrapped my arms around his neck.
I was still teasingly smiling at him. He felt embarassed and shocked because of what I said and then when he avoid eye contact, I leaned closer and whispered into his ear.
"You look sexy when you get mad, I love it..."
