Serena's POV:
I let the policemen in and they asked me about Jack. I pointed at a room and they jogged there, holding their guns and returned with Jack who was wincing, holding his head in his hands.
"Where are you taking him?!" I masked my face with a worried look and held Jack's arms.
"Shhh! Don't worry, love. I'll be back. You just take care of yourself." He shushed me and my heart almost stopped.
Did he say he will come back? Impossible! His partner said he is going to jail for at least seven years.
"Promise?" I asked to confirm.
"Promise, my love." He said and the policemen took him out of the apartment.
What the heck?! There is no way he is coming back soon. He is unaware of the fact that I have handed over those files to his partner that's why he said that.
