Raven's fingers tightened around the rustication letter. One could practically hear the faint sound of the paper crumpling under the intensity of her rage and disbelief. Her pulse pounded so loudly that she could hear the shrill sound as she stared at him, Alpha Kane, her former mate, the monster she had vowed to never let ruin her again. Never to have any control on her anymore.
“…You’re rusticating me?” she asked again, her voice thick with disbelief and filled with bitterness. Her eyes widening as she stared down at the papers again, more carefully, more critically as if that would change it's content. But it didn't.
