I turned on my heel and ran like never before. I ran like I have never done in my entire life, pushing myself towards the Academy.
Please I don't want to be late, I begged, talking to no one in particular. My breath came out in ragged gasps, my snickers hitting the marble floor, and my heart pounding louder in my ears than my footsteps. It would be nice if I could make it to class on time, so I don't lose at both ends.
But the heavens seems to be against me. The door was already locked. I checked the time on my phone screen. 8: 05 a.m. I was just five minutes late, but the professor was already in class.
