Raven’s POV
The moment the cab dropped me in front of the grand hospital gate, I spotted Ryker leaning casually against the pillar near the security unit, arms crossed, his ever-annoying smirk still plastered across his face like he owned the damn place.
I walked towards him but I didn’t acknowledge him. I didn't give him a glance, or even utter a single word. I just walked past him, my snickers deliberately clicking the floor with purpose like a queen who has come to take her place.
And of course, he followed behind me closely like he was a stranger here and I was in your guide.
“You’re late,” he said. "I would like us to always keep to time." His voice was so smooth like I cared about his opinion.
I stopped in my tracks and turned so fast that he almost bumped into me. “Shut up,”
