Chapter 5

Veronica's POV.

I was pacing back and forth in the waiting room. It had been 5 hours since they took Justin back. 5 hours since we had heard from our big guy. 5 hours since I froze. I know Katie is scared. Justin is like her little brother, she loves him. And Justine has been crying for 5 hours straight. Mariah had vanished. I sighed and sat down. I just wanted everything to be ok.

"Momma."

I looked up and smiled when I seen my little Ana-rocket standing in front of me, "Hey baby. What are you doing?"

She just smiled and pointed to her feet. I looked down and laughed. She had her shoes on the wrong feet. I picked her up and hugged her, looking over to see what the others were doing. My mother and Sammie's mother were talking. And standing really close together. I still swear that something is going on between them. The twins parents were arguing with Mariah's parents. Katie was no where to be found.

"Where's mommy Ana?" I asked.

Ana shrugged and looked around, "Pee pee?"

"You have to go pee pee?" I asked.

"No. Mommy." She said.

"Oh. Maybe. Wanna go check and then go see if the cafeteria has ice cream?" I asked.

"Mmmm." Ana said.

I smiled and we walked to the bathroom. When I opened the door I was surprised to see Katie and Katie. Wait what?

"Mommy!" Ana screamed.

Both of them turned around and I realized it was Katie's twin Krystal.

"Oh hey Krystal. What's up?" I asked.

"Nothing. How have you been?" Krystal asked.

"Could be better." I answered.

"And who is this little bundle of cutness?" She asked.

You see, Krystal has been traveling a lot with her wife- I know, lucky b***h is already married- so she hasn't seen Anastasia yet.

"This is Anastasia. We adopted her 9 months ago." Katie replied.

"Well, aren't you a cutie?" Krystal said to Ana.

"Ya." Ana answered.

"She's so cute." Krystal said.

"Thank you." Katie and I said in unison.

Ana looked at me and smiled then looked at Katie, "Mommy."

"What sugar plum?" Katie asked.

Ana held her foot up for Katie to see, "Opps."

Both of the twins started to laugh. Ana looked at me like they were nuts. I raised a brow at that one. I wasn't sure what to say to that face. Not at all. We all walked out and I looked around for Sammie and Justine. I found them sitting alone in the corner. I gave Ana to Katie and walked over to them.

"Hey." I said softly while sitting down.

"Hey." Sammie said while Justine just looked at me and gave a weak smile.

"Have you heard anything?" I asked.

"Nope. Oh, there's the doctor." Sammie said getting up.

We walked over and Katie handed a kicking Ana over to me. She looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and looked down to Ana. She was still kicking her feet she looked up and me and reached up.

"-May not be able to move ever again."

I looked up and at Katie.

"But he is stable."

"I didn't mean to hurt him. I really didn't." Mariah said.

I gave Katie Ana and spun around. I ran towards Mariah only to have my feet knocked out from under me. I pushed Sammie out of the way and attacked Mariah. She ducked under my fist and moved to the side. I grabbed her fist when she tried to hit me an twisted.

"b***h I hope you burn in hell." I said while twisting.

Mariah had tears in her eyes but I didn't care. I was about to make her wrist pop when I felt a tug on my pants. I looked down and smiled at my little girl.

"Hey Ana, what's going on?" I asked her.

"Momma? No." Ana said.

I let go of Mariah and picked Ana up. She gave me a really big smile and I hugged her tight. She giggled and hugged me back.

"Momma?" Mariah asked, "I thought you two weren't together."

I froze and looked at Katie. She shrugged and looked at Mariah, "We are. Not like you can do anything about it. Schools almost over and Veronica is 18. And Mrs. Ross doesn't give a s**t that we are dating so who cares?"

"I care!" Mariah yelled.

"Shhhhh." Ana said.

I looked down at her and smiled. Then she did something that shocked me.... Ana gave Mariah the finger.

"Anastasia!" I said.

"Aa?" She asked looking at me.

"That's bad." I told her.

"No." Ana said.

"Anastasia Elizabeth! Don't you let me see that finger again." Katie said.

Ana looked at me like she was about to cry. I wasn't about to baby her. And no, that's not being mean. She did something bold and Katie and I didn't baby her after she got yelled at. Once Ana realized I wasn't going to baby her she stopped pouting and pointed at Mariah, who was now sitting on the floor crying like a baby.

"Ooooo bah?" Ana asked.

"She hurt Uncle Justin baby girl. She deserved that. She was very very bold." I told her.

We all walked down to see Justin and he smiled when he saw us, "Hey ladies. Since I'm hurt you should buy me some strippers right?"

"Oh he's fine." Justine said.

"No but really. I feel fine. The doc says that I wont be able to move ever again but I can feel my legs and move them just fine. And I'm pressing charges against Mariah. No way in hell i-"

"Ooooooo." Ana said.

"Bad Uncle Justin. Curing in front of Ana-rocket." Katie said, while shaking her head and wagging a finger.

"I'm so sorry Ana-rocket. Can I have some sugar? I'm hurt." Justin said.

Ana reached out to him so I let him take her. She immediately went for his hair. It was still spiked up and Ana loved to touch the spikes. We talked to Justin for a little while until some little b***h of a nurse came and told us we had to leave or she was calling security. We walked out of the room and I flipped her off as we were walking down the hallway.

"Ow!" I yelled after getting hit in the back of the head by Katie.

"You yelled at Ana for that earlier. Now I know where she gets that from." Katie said.

Her sister had left, something about getting home before the wife killed her or some s**t. We finally got home and made dinner. After we ate we watched a movie- Dumbo and The Lion King- ok so it was two movies but still. Ana passed out right after Mufasa died and left me crying by myself. Where was Katie? Oh she passed out as soon as Dumbo started. So I was left to fend for myself as Ana threw popcorn at me.

I picked Ana up and brought her up to bed. She woke up and called me before I could walk out of her bedroom.

"What's wrong baby girl?" I asked. She reached for me so I picked her up, "Come on lil' mama. We gotta go get mommy so we can go to bed. We have to get up early tomorrow."

"Iiii?" She asked as she yawned.

"Mommy has work and I have school. You have to go to Ka's house." I told her.

"Iiiiii?" She asked.

"You can't come to school with me." I said.

"Iiiii?" She asked.

"No babies allowed." I told her.

"Iiiii?" She asked.

"I dont know. Katie, come on baby wake up. Let's go lie down in bed. We have school tomorrow. Come on." I said lightly shaking her awake.

Katie groaned before she got up, "What's she doing awake?"

"She was asleep. She woke up when I put her in bed." I told her, helping her stand up.

"Oh. Ok. What time is it?" Katie asked.

"It is 12:47 in the morning. Come on love bug. Up tp bed we go." I said giving her a gentle shove towards the stairs.

She walked up and I lied Ana down on the bed while I changed into shorts and a beater. Katie came back out of the bathroom in her bra and panties. I sighed and walked into the bathroom and got her PJ's. I helped her put her shorts on and take her bra off. She put her shirt on and lied down next to Ana, passing out as soon as her head hit the pillow. It was really cute if you ask me.

I put Ana in the middle of us and lied down. Ana was currently facing Katie with an arm around her neck and the other on her face. Katie had a hand on Ana's back lightly rubbing it in her sleep. I smiled and kissed both of their heads.

"Night my princesses. I love you." I whispered.

Ana mumbled something and cuddle closer to Katie. I clapped and the lights turned off, then I snuggled into my girls wrapping an arm around both of them. This day was one from hell. Satan himself musf have it out for us. But the night was just what I needed; some time alone with my two favorite people in the whole wide world.
