CHAPTER 40

2191 Words

LOGAN BLACKSTONE I stormed into my office, barely pausing to shed the weight of another draining meeting. My stomach growls, but I barely notice. My mind is locked in on the avalanche of tasks ahead, the distractions of the day shelved aside for the moment. Edward’s advice earlier had given me a small measure of peace. It’s no wonder that my focus is razor-sharp… Resolving these back-to-back meetings has become a refuge from the chaos her presence brings into my professional life. She’s a storm I’d rather avoid.
