Logan looked at me, his expression calm, but I could feel the rising anger and confusion within me. I couldn't hold it in anymore, so I asked again, this time with more urgency.
"Logan, what did you do?" I asked, my voice trembling.
He slipped his hands into his pants pockets, speaking quietly, almost indifferently.
"I sent Bella to jail," he replied.
My eyes widened in shock. The words hung in the air, and Logan's calm demeanor only made it harder to process. How could he have done that? How could he have acted so decisively, without hesitation?
