Eira’s POV The sickly light from the street lamp casts long, warped shadows down the tunnel. Nobody speaks. The silence in here doesn’t feel empty. It feels heavy, like the air before a thunderstorm. Art steps forward, his feet so light his boots makes no sound on the rusted tracks. He doesn’t look back, but his voice reached out clearly in the dead space. "Stay together." We fall in behind him. Soren takes the point, his flashlight cutting a bright cone through the dark. Draven takes the rear, his hand resting casually near the hilt of his knife, while I walk in the middle.
