*** An hour later. She was out of the Mystic Fangs territory. She was heading to another wolf pack’s territory. It was a dangerous thing to do as she was now a rogue and packs didn’t like rogues for they always meant bad news for instance an attack on the pack members. Some minutes later, two stall men with burly build dragged her to their pack house, throwing her at the feet of the Alpha. “Speak, who are you and what’s your purpose for entering my territory without permission?” the Alpha who whose face was hidden by a creepy mask asked. Before one could enter another packs territory they were to let out a special howl. If they received a howl in response, then it meant that they were allowed to enter but if otherwise, one had to turn back as forcefully entering the territory meant you’re here with bad intentions. “Er… It’s like this. I was accused of stealing a pack treasure. Since they didn’t wanna listen to me and intent on throwing me out, I secretly took the treasure before they cast me out. Here it is.” Sylvanha put her hand into her dress and took out a jewel from between her boobs. Then she stretched her hand towards the Alpha but his Beta kicked her hand away. “Ow!” “Woman, why are you here in my territory?” the Alpha asked again. “Because it’s the closest and I wanted a place that would take me in before I become a rogue with bad intent. And I’m also pretty. Surely you won’t want a pretty lady like me to turn evil.” she said in a coquettish voice. “Merlin?” the Alpha called while still focused on the book her was reading. “Yes, Alpha king?” “Feed her to the snakes. I’m sure they’d be happy to see her.” “Aye, Alpha.” “No-no. I am useful. It’s a waste to feed me to snakes just like that. Look!” she ripped her right sleeve and showed her bare arm to them. They could see the vivid violet tattoo of a trident. The Alpha’s book fell from his hand and he quickly rose from his seat. “You’re a healer?” he asked in disbelief. She nodded. “You didn’t see wrong, Alpha king. I am a healer.” “Then why did your pack frame you and even cast you out?” he questioned. “They don’t know I’m a healer. So Alpha Fabian, what do you think? Am I useful or I should just be fed to snakes?” she shrugged. “You are useful. Come on, get up and sit on the couch. Merlin, go prepare a residence for her.” the Alpha commanded and his Beta hurriedly left. The formerly arrogant Alpha now had a nervous smile on his face. “Um… If you don’t mind, can you become our healer?” “Of course. That’s why I am here. I love your attitude, Alpha Fabian.” “No-no, just call me Fabian.” “I’m not your relative. I’ll still call you Alpha.” she said as she crossed her long legs. “Okay. Address me however you want. Er… silly of me. I didn’t ask your name,” he face palmed. “I’m Sylvanha Harryson, daughter of the late Gamma of Mystic Fangs pack.” she introduced. “Oh. Nice name.” he laughed nervously. “Alpha, you are nervous. Why? Is it because I am beautiful?” she asked with interest. He hastily waved. “No. It’s my first time encountering a healer and one so young.” he replied. “I see. When is my residence going to be ready?” she asked, while looking around the office. “In a few hours.” Alpha Fabian replied. “Ok. After that, we’ll sign a contract. I will heal your people who are good to me. The scheming ones should forget about it. Is that alright with you?” “What other conditions do you have?” Alpha Fabian questioned. “Um… Looking at it, I think your residence is a better fit for someone of my status and apart from you, everyone else in this pack must bow whenever they see me. And I can f*ck whoever I want whether mated or not in my room. Healing is taxing on my body, a little compensation in the form of wonderful love making is not too much to ask, right?” a provoking smile appeared on her lips. “Um… Let me think about it.” he rested his chin on his left hand, seeming to be in deep thought, weighing the pros and cons. After a while, he looked at her and rose from his seat. “I’m sorry. We don’t deserve the honor of receiving your healing. You can be on your way to the next pack.” he said with resolution. “Seriously?” she rose from the couch, frowning. “What do you mean you don’t need my healing?” “I don’t need a bossy healer. Seriously, I think Mystic Fangs made a great choice casting you out. Please get out.” He pointed toward the door way. “Hmph! You don’t know what’s good for you.” She stormed out of the his office, brushing past the Beta who was just returning to deliver information to the Alpha. “Alpha king, what happened? Why is she mad?” Beta Merlin asked in distress. “Would you f*ck her as compensation for healing if she chooses you for a night in her room.” The Alpha barked. “No way. I’m faithful to my mate.” The Beta exclaimed. “Is that one of her conditions?” “She even wants everyone else apart from me to bow to her.” “Gosh! But Alpha it’s bad out there. Raphael just mind linked me. He said that rogues are coming. We are outnumbered 10 to 1, Alpha.” “Seriously?” the Alpha frowned. “Maybe we can let her…” “No! If we’ll be eradicated today, so be it. I won’t let a woman turn my [ack upside down just because she’s a healer.” They heard clapping sounds. They turned to see that it was Sylvanha who had entered the office wearing a sunny smile. “Perfect! You’re the kind of Alpha I want to team up with. Before I acknowledge being a pack member, let me show you what I can do. Come on, go fight. I’ll heal you.” She urged. The two men looked at her in incredulity. How can they believe this person’s words? Suddenly growls could be heard along with bones snapping. “Alright, we’ll talk later.” The Alpha ran towards the entrance followed by his Beta. Upon coming out of the office, they jumped in the air and somersaulted, landing in their majestic wolf forms. They were indeed outnumbered and from a normal standpoint, the rogues would win. Many of the pack members were injured and some had already shifted back to human as they couldn’t maintain their wolf form any longer. Sylvanha who now stood at the branch of a tree smirked as she looked at her bare arm. The tattoo glowed and left her arm, transforming into a long, mighty trident. She started muttering words in an ancient language and then raised the golden trident up with her right hand. Rays of light shone from it and spread towards all the pack members. Apart from the Alpha and Beta, the rest found it strange. They were confused at where this light came from and how come they were being healed and even strengthened. “Don’t think about other things. Fight!” the Alpha yelled. “Aye, Alpha!” the pack members replied and then focused on fighting the stunned rogues. How did this pack who was not even enough for them to kill suddenly have much more strength and were recovering faster from their injuries? “Could it be that they have a healer?” the leader of the rogues thought. Healers were rare and the packs that were lucky to have one were no more than the top three packs in the world. It’s impossible for this small pack to have a healer. Besides why would a healer choose to come here and cooperate when there were better options?
