The Alpha What?

 When I told everyone that Damian is my mate they all stopped dead in their tracks. Then I felt Damian stiffen and when I turned to look at him that's when I saw that the Alpha had walked into my living room. What was he doing here? I bowed my head as a sign of respect. He nodded back at Damian and I then at our parents. I can tell that everyone is on edge because the Alpha never makes house calls and I mean never. He turned to look at us then something I never thought I would see him do he did. He signed *I came to check on you, Alley. You see there was supposed to be a gathering for your first shift but it seems we had it set for the wrong time. There is one thing that surprises me about your shift. Is it true that when you shifted everyone else in the room shifted as well?* *Yes Sir, but only those who have been through the shift once already.* I surprised myself with the level of confidence I had while talking with the Alpha. He thought about that for a minute before saying *That's what I heard but I don't understand how that happened because that only happens with the true Alpha kids.* *Wait, true Alpha. what do you mean by that?* I asked without thinking. My mom tried to get onto me but the Alpha waved her off. *What I mean by that is when two mated alphas have a child that child is what we call a true alpha. They show extraordinary skills from a young age and usually show leadership skills well before they shift for the first time. That being said my mate Bella and I have a daughter who should have shifted at the time you did but she did not and she is very shy. *I'm sorry but what are you trying to say alpha?* my dad asked him. *Well Bella and I had Natalie's blood tested with ours and it seems that there was a mistake at the hospital. You see we took home the wrong child and someone took home the wrong child as well.* *Are you saying what I think you're saying Alpha? That Alley is your daughter* Damian's mom said as she signed it. *I came to ask if Alley would be willing to allow me to test her blood seeing she was the only other girl born in the same hospital the day my child was born.* I can not believe that he thinks that I am his daughter but even though I was sure he was wrong I said *There is no harm in giving a little blood is there.* So he called the pack doctor and she was so sweet her name is Kelley. She took some blood then did the test right there in front of us and confirmed what the Alpha said. *So by this test Alley you are in fact Jackson's child... I mean the Alpha's daughter.* The Alpha gave Kelley some money when she finished packing her stuff and she left after saying goodbye. Everyone was silent for a few minutes then my mom said *So what do we do now because Alley may be yours by blood but I was there for everything I am her mom.* Mom was mad at everything right now and she was about to be on a warpath. *Well I had an idea that I would like to run by all of you. Seeing as she is the mate of my beta's kid this conversation includes ya'll as well. I thought that all of you could move in with Bella and I so that way we can get to know our daughter and ya'll get to know your daughter.* The Alpha said then waited for a blow-up that never came. *So you're saying we move in with you and we still get to be in Alley's life.* My father asked. The Alpha nodded but then he got that far away look that wolves get when they are talking with the mindlink. *I'm sorry to run but there is a problem at the packhouse but I would love to have ya'll join me tonight for Natalie's ceremony. Kevin, I need you to come with me to the packhouse. I hope to see you all later and please give what I asked some thought.* then he walked out of the house with Damian's father. I feel like my life is a lie now and I don't like it one bit. Damian is holding me trying to calm me down because I was crying and my parents are talking in the other room. Why does this have to happen to me maybe that's why I felt like the world was against me when I woke up this morning. I was so spaced out that I didn't see Damian tell everyone that he was going to take me up to bed so I can rest. When we got to my room he sat me on my bed took my shoes off then tucked me under the covers. He started to walk away and that was when I snapped out of it and caught his hand. *Will you stay with me please I don't want to be alone right now?* He didn't say anything as he climbed into my bed with me after taking his shoes off. He got under the covers and just held me close then kissed the top of my head. I was loving the sparks I felt all over my body as I fell asleep. A few hours later I felt someone shaking my shoulder when I felt the sparks I knew that it was Damian. *Hey it's time for the ceremony and your mom wants you to get ready for it.* He takes a step back and I could see that he had changed into a tux which he looked amazing in. *Okay I'm getting up, you look great by the way.* I told him.
