The morning after the battle, Elara woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside the Moonstone pack's village. Thane was already up, talking with Ryder and some of the other pack leaders.
Elara stretched, feeling a bit sore from the previous day's fight. She walked over to Thane and the others, who greeted her with nods and smiles.
"Morning, Luna," Ryder said, his voice rough but friendly.
Elara smiled. "Morning, Ryder. What's the plan?"
Thane spoke up. "We're going to help the Moonstone pack rebuild their village. They've been through a lot."
Elara nodded, her heart swelling with compassion. "Of course. We'll help in any way we can."
The pack set to work, helping to rebuild homes and gather food for the Moonstone pack. Elara and Thane worked side by side, their movements efficient and comfortable.
As they worked, Elara couldn't help but think about their own pack, back in the Whispering Woods. She missed her pups, Ava, Liam, and Aria.
Thane caught her eye, seeming to read her thoughts. "They're doing fine," he said, his voice low. "We can check in with them tonight."
Elara smiled, feeling grateful for Thane's understanding.
The day passed quickly, the Moonstone pack's village slowly taking shape again. As the sun began to set, Elara and Thane sat down together, watching the stars come out.
"It's been a long day," Thane said, his voice tired but content.
Elara nodded, leaning into him. "But it's been good. We helped."
Thane wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. "We make a good team, Luna."
Elara smiled, feeling happy and at peace. "We do."
And as the night deepened, Elara and Thane sat together, watching the stars twinkle above...
