The journey begins & Chapter 8: The Battle for Moonstone

The pack traveled through the night, their paws quiet on the forest floor. Elara and Thane led the way, their senses alert for any signs of danger. The neighboring pack, the Moonstone pack, was in trouble, and Elara and Thane had vowed to help.

As they walked, Elara couldn't help but think about her pups. Ava, Liam, and Aria were grown now, but she still saw them as her little ones. She glanced at Thane, and he caught her eye.

"They'll be okay," he said, his voice low. "They're strong, like their mom."

Elara smiled, feeling a surge of pride. She knew her pups could handle themselves, but it was nice to have Thane's reassurance.

The pack traveled for hours, the moon high overhead. Finally, they reached the edge of the Moonstone pack's territory. Elara could smell the scent of smoke and ash on the wind.

"Something's burning," she said, her ears perked up.

Thane nodded, his eyes narrowed. "We'll be careful."

The pack approached the Moonstone pack's village, and Elara's heart sank. The village was in ruins, buildings burned and destroyed. The Moonstone pack was huddled together, their eyes fearful.

Elara and Thane rushed forward, their pack following close behind. The Moonstone pack's alpha, a grizzled old wolf named Ryder, greeted them.

"Thank you for coming," he said, his voice rough. "The Shadowfang pack has been attacking us for days. We can't hold out much longer."

Thane growled, his eyes flashing with anger. "We'll deal with them."

Elara nodded, her heart pounding. She could smell the Shadowfang pack's scent, a dark and ominous presence in the air.

The battle was fierce and brutal, the Shadowfang pack determined to take down the Moonstone pack. Elara and Thane fought side by side, their movements a deadly dance. Ava, Liam, and Aria fought bravely, taking down enemy after enemy.
