“What are you doing here on a Sunday?” Susan closed the file on her desk with a snap and looked up at her boss, Gary, as he absentmindedly tore the jagged edge of tape off the end of the tape dispenser. “I had a few things to go over, and I left the files I needed here.” Susan slipped the file into her bag, careful not to take her eyes off Gary. She had no doubt now he was somehow involved in all of this, but she didn’t know how deeply he was involved, and she didn’t know how far he would go to keep his involvement secret. Hearing the ding of the elevator, she looked up in relief to see the janitor enter the floor with his push cart.
