Eddie walked around to the back of the station and found a telephone stationed between the bathrooms. Even this area looked clean and well kept. He picked up the receiver, studying what he was seeing and trying to figure out this strange phone. There was a display screen and all the buttons were flat, mere numbers on thin sheets of plastic. Eddie looked for the coin slot but the the only thing he saw was a long slot beside the screen. It resembled a dollar feeder, but the slot was vertical with openings at the top and bottom. The receiver beeped and the screen lit up with words ‘Credit… Phone… Cash’. Confused, Eddie touched the screen where the word ‘phone’ appeared, but nothing happened.
