Mike came over late in the evening. I was not tolerant of him as I was in a bad mood for no reason. We played some Crazy-Eights, then he left. I wish I had been more pleasant. I can’t let him know about the car.
Earlier, I rented a U-Haul trailer from the folks who live in the same building as the Lakewood Supply Company. In the back, a man runs a rental business. He helped me hitch the trailer to Dr. Laighles’s pickup truck, which I parked in the backyard so no one on the street would see it and get suspicious.
