I read again until about eight-thirty when Mike stopped by. We walked the dogs to the lake. Mike did most of the talking as we walked. I grunted a few replies back to him until he asked, “What happened to Steven’s car?” “How’d you know about that?” “I shouldn’t have said that, should I?” “That’s okay.
