The divorce rate is skyrocketing, the news anchor reported. It’s 39% and expected to reach 50% by 1980, which is only six and a half years away. The 1980’s sounds so improbable, almost impossible. I don’t think I will ever get married.
Divorce is fine if two people don’t want to stay married. Why should anyone else tell them what to do or judge them? Isn’t divorce better than remaining in a marriage that is dulled or loveless? Too much of the world is loved in silence.
I have not seen Annie in a few days. Should I call her? I think about her all the time. Is this how women operate? They already have power!
