I finally got in touch with the mechanic, after trying several times this week. Each time I was in the library, I felt like someone was watching me use the long-distance in a covert spy operation. Free long-distance is really stealing from the university. Someone should invent a credit card for telephones. Just give the operator your credit card number. I think there would be a market for something like that if someone knew how to get it off the ground.
