Three is company

A buck was grazing peacefully when Edric came with lightning speed, prancing on top of the unexpected deer. Ending the deer quickly with a snap of his neck, Edric tied the feet together. He tossed the buck over his shoulders to bring it home to skin, quarter, and cook.

Edric thought about his mate the whole way home. He was concerned that maybe she wouldn't love him if she knew what he has done.

After leaving Aciah that night at her coronation, he captured the vampires responsible for the missing wolves. After finding all of the she wolves he noticed one particular wolf was missing, his mother.

Edric tormented the vampire responsible for holding them hostage then ended him once they gave him the truth. It wasn't just vampires behind the attack, but it was wolves also.

The wolf responsible wasn't just any wolf. The She-wolf was a hybrid who was very powerful. She was a monster for what she had done to Edric's mother.

When Edric found out he wiped out her entire army with just three wolves from his pack. He led the attack carefully with his beta Kole at his side. The attack was not only one that would go down in history, but one that was well known in the wolf communities. The day the Viking Queen fell to a wolf warrior.

As Edric made it back to the caves he quickly pushed aside those thoughts so she couldn't feel his nervousness through their mind link. Aciah was always concerned why she wasn't able to read her mate. She assumed it was because he had no feelings for her. Now that she knows he does, she pondered on why he was shutting her out.

Aciah climbed up the cliff and gawked at the sight of her mate. It Impressed her that he was so hands on, so independent. She stared for a few moments until he noticed her arousal and turned around. She liked her lips slowly sliding her tongue across the tips of her teeth.

Just as she started to walk towards Edric a bubbly Enid came between her view with a tea and soup. "Drink this. The urges should subside a bit." Enid conveniently proposed.

When Edric was done with the meat, he threw it into one large pot and began cooking. Enid began to feel uncomfortable being the middle person in the room. She could feel the heat radiating off of Aciah.

Quickly trying to change the mood in the room, Enid mentions that Edric was talking in his sleep much more often than usual. Catching him off guard she starts rambling about his dreams half understood. She mentions that he saved so many people a year ago and it caught Aciah's attention long enough to take her away from her heat emotions.

Aciah interested asked what happened and with Enid egging it on Edric began to open up to Aciah finally. He explained his past and how they first met wasn't by mistake. He left out the details about the Viking Queen because he wasn't sure how'd she react finding out her own family was behind the attack on his people.

It was about two in the morning when Aciah became unbearably hot with fever. Edric went outside to grab water pales to cool her down. Enid was still asleep on the cot made on the ground. He knew there was something severely wrong with his mate so he went against everything he had to make sure she was well taken care of.

"I'm so hot E," Aciah said. She leaned up towards him for a sip of water. With her shaking and trembling, he slightly turned her on her side. Wiping her down with a cool rag was one of the main priorities on his mind. He began from her head and carried his way down her curves.

Unintentionally Edric was aroused but this time Aciah could sense it since his guard was down. As he went to turn and dip the sponge back into the water Aciah pounced on him. Unable to stop her she took control ripping his shirt off. She deepened the kiss exploring his entire mouth. Edric couldn't hold back anymore. She moaned as he nipped on her marking spot.

Enid woke up with all the commotion and took a walk outside. "This is not what I signed up for!" Enid yelled as she left the caves frustrated.

Edric shredded his and her pants with in a snap of a finger. Tossing her on the bed, he removed her thin laced thong. She creamed so much that it was just leaking out if her folds. Bending down Edric licked her carefully enjoying the sweet savory taste.

At first light Enid did leave exactly as she planned. Edric cooked breakfast for Aciah letting her rest more. Optimistic about how their day would go. He thought that maybe they should take a walk through their "get to know me stage."
