The nights grew longer and Aciah became blood thirsty. Her vengeance set off a power surge to witches all over the state. California was one of the largest states with the most supernatural beings. Witches from all over felt a drainage in their own powers. Many started to hunt for the cause.
Aciah knew she needed help and the only way she could get that was going home. After nights of pondering on the idea she finally set the course back to her own massive manor. The whole way home she carefully thought out what would happen if she showed up with no excuse for abandoning her position. When she arrived to Halvmånen Manor, she walked in through the massive double doors only to bump into her Grandmother Hild.
Hild smiles and walks with Aciah towards the Queens quarters. As they almost open the door a yell from a man calls out for the guards to arrest Aciah. When she turns around she realizes it was her father who sentenced her to prison.
Waylon explained to Aciah there had to be consequences for her setting the bar ablaze full of vampires. He noted that she will have a fair hearing and her crown will be withdrawn from her as well as her power as queen.
The words hit her like a ton of bricks to the chest. Aciah was escorted to the a room at the very top of the manor on the fifth floor. A spell was placed on the door so she wouldn't escape and her ankle was cuffed to a shackle bolted into the floors. She was back home but this was not the expected reaction she thought she was going to get from her own parents. Her mother didn't even attempt to give her a chance to explain. She stood there with a face of disappointment while Aciah was taken away.
The room wasn't like their usual prison. Aciah had a window with bars, bed suitable for a beta, table to eat at, and a small library of books on obedience next to a desk. Aciah knew that tomorrow was her day to plead her case and make reason with her family.
At exactly three in the morning her grandmother woke her up to help her escape. The two of them fled through the woods behind the manor and made their way back to Widow's Chateau where Thyra would be waiting on her.
Leading the way Hild ran darting through trees and over brush in advance speed. Aciah could barely keep up since Hild was faster and older than her in their wolf forms. A couple yards away she sensed Thyra inside with someone else. Cautiously they inspected the perimeter incase it was a set up.
Thyra walked outside with Enid and called for Hild and Aciah to come inside. They walked in and stood at an alter in the middle of the common area. The fire was lit behind them in the fireplace to give off some light since the place had been abandoned years ago.
Aciah walked in without fear and questioned Thyra who was the woman beside her and why she there. Hild came through the common area straight to Hild and proceeded to whisper in her ear despite the solid stern look on Aciah's face.
Thyra introduced Enid to Aciah to help relax her mind. Once they figured out their next moves Thyra and Hild held hands to put a protection spell on Aciah. No one would be able to track her anymore. Her scent was masked by the spell leaving it almost impossible to find her if she decided to leave again.
They decided to head back to Chateau Moon Ridge to check on Edric. Seeing her mate in a coma turned Aciah cold hearted causing her eyes to turn red with blood lust. In attempt to keep her from succumbing to the lust Hild knocks Aciah unconscious with a spell. They bring her to Edric's bedroom where he was still asleep in a medic bed. Aciah was placed in the bed next to him tied down with chains.
Hild and Thyra begin to cook a tonic for Edric to awaken from his love sick coma. Now that they were close together the tonic should work especially using the blood of an origional Hybrid.
They carefully placed the needle into the I.V. and administered the tonic. Edric woke almost instantly. He was dazed and dealing with a bit of memory loss of the battle from before.
Thyra and Enid helped get Edric up to speed on what all was happening. Edric started to feel the pain from his mate calling for him. When he walked to Aciah his heart skipped a beat. His wolf wanted to mark her right then and there. He knew he loved her but didn't want to force himself to take her for his own with out her consent. Most mates never waited to mark and own their mates forcing the bond to complete the process itself.
Edric scoops up Aciah bridal style and leaves instructions for Enid in his absence. He let everyone know he was taking his mate to get much needed respite for her to come back from her vengeful ways.
Edric decided to go back to the caves where he first brought Acaih since that's where she first enjoyed being free. The moment they made it there He placed Aciah back on the straw made bed and started a fire to cook for her. While she rested he built a table and two chairs for when she woke they could finally eat together. He was so eager to have him all to himself again. After all the time lost in the coma this is exactly what they both needed.
"My beautiful Hybrid Luna I love you so much," Edric whispered to her as she slept. He wished they could run away from all their responsibilities but he knew she would never go for that. "If only life was more simple," he thought to himself out loud, as he slowly drifted off to sleep holding her in his arms.
