====chapterContent Lucy's point of view I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes, feeling pain all over my body. Glancing around, I realized I was lying on a grass-made bed inside an old hut. Sunlight seeped in through the wooden window, signaling daytime. My head throbbed as I recalled what happened after Bianca had ordered me to leave the pack. Pinky, one of Bianca's minions, chased after me. I had run as fast as I could, but she was faster. Just as she was about to strike, another enormous werewolf appeared out of nowhere, attacking her. That was the last thing I remembered before passing out. I furrowed my brow. No one dared to harm a werewolf from the Moonlight Pack. Even our enemies thought twice. Seeing that this werewolf had attacked Pinky meant that they were a...Rogue! Rogues were known for their random attacks, merciless killings, and violent tendencies. I swallowed hard, wondering why this rogue had saved me. I gingerly sat up, groaning. "You're finally awake," I heard an elderly woman's voice. I turned my head towards the corner of the hut, where she stood with some herbs in her hands. I doubted she was my savior. She appeared frail and didn't seem like she possessed a strong wolf form. She had an omega's aura. As I was about to dismiss her, a male werewolf entered the hut. He was remarkably handsome. "You are awake," he said, devoid of emotion in his voice. I stared at him, his large figure and dominant alpha presence fitting the description of my rescuer. He was definitely the one. He stared at me coldly, sending shivers down my spine. His aura was intimidating, and I quickly got up to show respect. "Tha...nk you so much for saving me," I stuttered and bowed in respect. His brow furrowed. "No need to be so courteous," he replied, helping me up. His words caught me off guard. My thoughts raced back to my grandmother. If Bianca had meant to harm me, then my grandmother was in danger. I spoke anxiously, avoiding eye contact. "Thank you very much, but I need to return to my Pack," I said worriedly, looking at anywhere but his face. He frowned slightly. "No... You can't go back. They will kill you," he said firmly. "I h....ave to go b...ack," I stammered, my voice trembling with fear. I bit my lip anxiously. "Going back means death for you and whoever you want to save," he said coldly. I shook my head desperately. "I know, but I have to save my grandma... I have to go back." Gathering up my courage, I attempted to walk out, but the old woman stopped me, firmly holding onto my arm. "Stop, you shouldn't leave," she scolded. "But..." "Don't be foolish and think about the baby in your womb," she chastised me. My eyes widened in shock. "B...baby?" I stuttered, placing my hand on my belly. "You mean I'm pregnant?" She nodded. "Yes, didn't you know?" I shook my head in disbelief. I was carrying Leo's child. The moon goddess had shown me kindness. Despite my weaknesses and lack of a wolf, I now had a baby who would love me unconditionally. "Your grandma won't be hurt. Werewolves from the Moonlight Pack usually don't care for old women, and I bet your grandmother is an omega," the old woman reassured me. I nodded, feeling a sense of relief. "Stay here. You will be safe with us." She released my arm. I caressed my belly gently. "A baby... my baby," I whispered to myself. "So... it's settled then... you are staying?" the man asked. "Yes," I replied with a smile. "Follow me. Let me introduce you to the other rogues," he said, his expression still devoid of emotion. "Other rogues?" I questioned. "Yes." I noticed his eyes on me, making me uneasy. He took a few steps toward me, startling me. I jumped back slightly, and he stopped abruptly. "Look at me when you speak," he demanded. I quickly raised my head to meet his gaze. "Is... this better?" He sighed. "In this place, we see each other as equals. Without the help of omegas, betas, and alphas, we wouldn't survive. So... whatever mistreatment you endured due to your weaknesses, it won't happen here. We are a family, and we stand together. You don't need to be afraid of me; I won't hurt you." Although his words lacked emotion, they were the words I had only dreamed of hearing. Uncontrollable tears of joy welled up, and I tried to hide them. He gently lifted my chin. "Always keep your head up," he advised, and I nodded. "Let's take you to meet the family," he said. I nodded again, ready to face whatever awaited me. "Wait," the old woman interrupted, stopping us. "What's your name?" she asked me. "Lucy," I answered. "Hmm... where did you get that red amulet? It looks beautiful," she inquired. I looked down at the amulet. "It was found on me by my grandma. I think it's from my parents." "Ohh... I was wondering where I could get one for myself. You can go now," she said. "Okay." Following the man out of the hut, I witnessed a scene I had never expected. Small huts dotted the landscape, with werewolves of all strengths mingling freely. Children played, and groups of females chatted away. It was a sense of belonging I had never experienced before. The place exuded peace and harmony, making it the perfect environment to raise a child. I smiled broadly as he led me to a group of ladies. "Rebecca," he called one of the women, who immediately sprang up with a huge smile. She looked pretty with her hair neatly tied in a bun. "Take care of her," he instructed before walking away, leaving me here. I finally let out a breath I didn't even know I had been holding. "You must be the lady that was saved," another woman said. She had a calm demeanor and curly brown hair. "Yes," I replied. "That means you are the one that I was told is pregnant, just like me," she said excitedly. "Oh, you're pregnant too?" I asked. "Yes, only a month older than you," she replied. "By the way, my name is Suzy. What's yours?" "I..." "Hey, I was the one assigned to her, not you," Rebecca frowned. Suzy rolled her eyes. "Fine, whatever." "I am Rebecca, and the old lady who took care of you is my mom. We call her Old Rita," Rebecca introduced me to the other werewolves. There were so many of them that I could hardly remember their names. "Wait," I said to Rebecca as she dragged me off to another hut to introduce me. "What is it?" Rebecca asked. "You've been introducing everyone to me, but you forgot to introduce the huge guy who brought me here," I told her. "Huge guy?" Rebecca questioned. "Oh, you mean Alex." Rebecca chuckled. Alex... I looked around at my surroundings, my eyes searching for his figure, and my mind whispered his name. Alex!
