I couldn't believe what I heard. "What did you just say?" I asked her, feeling all kinds of confused. It couldn't be right. How could she turn me down? No, maybe I misheard her. This had to be some kind of mistake.
She scoffed, giving me a glare that felt like a punch. "I just turned you down. Deal with it and let's go our separate ways. I don't want to see you again, not even in hell," she said fiercely, making it clear she meant every word.
