We returned to the Rogues' camp with Alex carrying Lucy, and it pained me to see them together, feeling like the unwanted third wheel. I clenched my fists, bit my lips, and looked away, suppressing the emotions that surged within me. Alex took Lucy to Old Rita's hut, and I trailed behind them, my heart heavy with a sense of insignificance.
Inside the hut, Liam, who was already with Old Rita, broke into tears upon seeing Lucy. Lucy managed a smile in response, but her weakened state prevented her from doing much more. Old Rita swiftly prepared a space for Lucy to lie down, and Alex gently laid her on the bed. Old Rita began treating her wounds, and Lucy's groans elicited concern from everyone present.
