Jacob watched as Catherine entered the bathroom and called out to the man on the bed, then asked with a wicked grin, "She went to the bathroom, are we still going to check the cameras?"
The man on the bed spoke in a cold tone, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes: "You also installed a camera in the bathroom?"
Jacob stopped grinning and replied seriously, "Just kidding. I have no interest in peeping at other people taking a shower."
The man on the bed didn't speak, but nodded almost imperceptibly, and continued to rest with his back to Jacob, his eyes closed.
After washing up, Catherine turned off the light, quietly climbed into bed, and slept soundly through the night.
Waking up, Catherine excitedly rolled around on the bed, "My happy little days have begun, yay yay yay yay!" Then she rolled out of bed and looked at the room she was sleeping in: the room was pink, with a huge princess bed in front of her, and gorgeous decorations, making her feel like she was in a fairy tale kingdom.
There was a white bedside table on each side of the bed, which was spotless and had exquisite and luxurious carvings.
Next to the bedside table on the left is a large square table with a telephone and some small ornaments on it.
Next to the bedside table on the right is an elegant dressing table, and opposite the dressing table is an elegant wardrobe.
The wardrobe was closed, and judging from its carvings, it must have been quite valuable; it's just unclear what kind of wood it was made of.
The air conditioner was placed opposite the bed, against that wall.
The floor was covered with a soft pink carpet, which felt very comfortable to walk on.
A crystal chandelier hangs from the ceiling, its orange light creating a warm atmosphere.
On the left wall of the room is a huge floor-to-ceiling window, with purple curtains that exude nobility and elegance.
“This room is so big and beautiful,” Catherine exclaimed, then opened the door and went out.
The sofa in the living room is khaki-colored, large and soft, and as comfortable as a bed whether you're lying down or sitting.
The television is on the wall opposite the sofa. It's a high-end imported television, and some seasonal fruits are placed on the elegant coffee table.
The living room walls are green, giving it a natural feel.
The restaurant walls are covered with pictures of various foods, which make you feel very hungry just looking at them.
"This place is wonderful!" Catherine exclaimed. She never imagined there were such beautiful places out there. It seemed she should come out and see more of the world. The outside world was so nice; no wonder her older brothers didn't want to stay at home. She wondered if the scenes on TV were as beautiful as this. She wanted to watch a modern drama sometime, but before that, she should change her clothes and wash up.
Catherine went to the bedroom, took her clothes to the bathroom to change, washed up, made a phone call to the front desk, and then leisurely lay on the sofa to watch "Boonie Bears".
A moment later, there was a knock at the door. Catherine got up and opened it. The five girls who had delivered food yesterday came in with various dishes, placed them on the table, and then all left.
Catherine was in a particularly good mood looking at the toast and milk on the table. She ate it rather inelegantly, then turned off the TV and went outside. Although she had no sense of direction, she loved to wander around. She had never explored a hotel before and was determined to do so.
Catherine stood at the door, staring blankly at the long corridor outside. Where was that elevator from yesterday? Before looking for the elevator, she should memorize the room number, lest she go to the wrong room.
Catherine stared at the door number for a while, making sure she remembered it. Then she walked down the corridor, opening every "Emergency Exit" sign she saw. She walked quite a distance before finally spotting red numbers and two arrow-like objects on a wall. Next to the red numbers was a closed door; this seemed to be the elevator the woman had taken her to yesterday. She randomly pressed one of the arrows, waited a moment, and the door opened. She went inside, remembering that the woman yesterday had pressed a number, waited a while, and then the door closed. Where to go now? "Let's try pressing 1," Catherine said, pressing 1. The door closed, and the elevator slowly descended.
