“I didn’t think you were coming back tonight,” said Dom. Travis sneered.
“I’m not moved out yet,” he said. Dom felt Kiko tense on the couch beside him. If he was interpreting Travis as pissed, he’d be right. Dom recalled how irritated he’d been earlier and figured Travis was not pleased with either of them. “Would be, if you bothered helping.”
“I think we’ve helped enough,” said Kiko. Dom tried not to cringe, but he understood. Neither Travis nor Kiko seemed to much like each other, and nearly a month together was really pushing it. And after everything else he’d been through today…Dom was not surprised Kiko would be short with Travis. But he did want to intercede.
“We did both have to work today, Trav.”
