As Christian continued to fight with Nadir on the ground, another voice sounded from beside me, startling me. “Daddy, what's happening?" I watched in simultaneous awe and horror as baby Ze'ev traipsed over toward Christian. I wanted so desperately to scoop him up into my arms to show him that I cared and make up for my previous encounter with him. “Daddy, when will you come home?" Ze'ev cried out to his father as the wild roar of the crowd reached a sudden lull. I raced over and took him away from the scene, afraid he would get injured. I looked down at the little boy, who's eyes were still fixed on his father. “Ze'ev, I think Daddy's busy right now. But you already are home.
