~Saga's P. O. V~
My head was pounding, my throat was dry and my body felt heavy. And warm? I moved a finger to test the feel of the thing that had my body weighed down. It was a pelt and wool? My senses were coming back to me, I felt clothing on my body, it was a dress. I could tell because my feet were exposed with parts of my lower legs. I managed to open my eyes, it was dark out, but the fire next to me lit up this hut enough to tell that it was indeed shelter. The logs across the straw roof kept the winter air out and the fireplace warm. I grunted slightly as I sat up to get a better look around. I almost had a heart attack when I saw a man sitting in a chair next to me. He was completely out and snoring. His snores almost reminded me of father. I guess I could let out a small, quiet laugh. He was the one I was smelling before I blacked out. He had long blond hair that was braided tightly, a beard that matched his hair, I saw war paint cover his eyes and parts of his cheeks. A scar that crossed over his left eye to his left ear. This man has seen battle, he was wearing metal armor and pelts, I noticed two battle axes at both his sides. He was indeed a warrior. I looked and studied his face more. His cheek bones were more masculine, his jaw was chiseled and his lips were thin lined. I wanted to devour those lips. No! Stop! He's a human. I'm a Werewolf. He would try to kill me if he knew. I moved on from his lips to the rest of his body. He was muscular, his arms reminded me of the strongest tree I had ever come across, his chest slowly rising and falling. I couldn't help but look towards his endowment. It was pretty much bulging out of his trousers. My eyes went wide as I noticed it. I had to shake this off, a human cannot be that attractive. I tried not to move too much to alert him. I opted to gently move my legs out of the bed and stretch them. Eira was still asleep herself. I loved my wolf, she made sure I was safe. In the dim light I took a glance at my dress. It was a white dress with a blue over dress. It was crafted to fit me. I started to stand up when my legs became liquid under me. I fell back on the straw bed with a loud thump. I was facing away from the man, hoping I didn't wake him up.
The sound of his voice told me otherwise, "You're finally awake, my lady." My lady? I'm a rogue, I don't deserve that title. "May I at least see your face?" I slowly turned my upper body to face him. His eyes were the color of a frozen ocean. They were magnificent. "You needn't be scared of me, my lady." My breathing was slightly heavier. "I am Chief Calder of the Den grå ørnen clan."
"The Grey Eagle?" I asked. He smiled at me. I wanted to be whisked away by that smile.
"She does speak. Now you know where we are and who I am. May I ask your name?" Did I still deserve the last name of Berkanan? No... That name was lost to me now.
"S-... Saga. I know not of how I got to where you found me and I have no clan." Or pack now. And that hurt.
"Saga. A beautiful, strong name. You are welcome to stay here if you'd like." His voice was so kind, his eyes read no indication of malicious intent. Could I stay here? Live among humans? "Of course, if you chose to, you would have to work and earn your keep here." A place to live and work, a home. No, I am a rogue, we do not deserve homes. Even if I was wrongfully made one. I couldn't accept his offer. Suddenly he stood and came close to my face. "My lady? Why are crying?" He took his thumb and gently wiped a tear away, I instinctively pulled away. "What happen to you?" I couldn't tell him the truth. That I was kicked out of my pack, lost my home and family of wolves. My baby sisters not having me there on their 21st birthdays. "Please tell me?"
"I-I... Was banished from my pa... My clan." I had to use human terms here, "My betrothed rejected me on my birthday. He too is a clan leader. Not before he kissed me, though. After that, he made me leave." I saw his hand turn into fists, his eyes had gone deadly and cold as he turned them away from me.
He turned himself to leave, "Forgive me, I do not wish to harm you. His actions are not what a clan leader should do. I will be back shortly, my Lady Saga." I really do hope he halts with the 'Lady' titles. I nodded and then he was gone. I heard voices outside of the shelter. I wanted to listen.
"Is she alright, Chief?" Said an elderly woman's voice.
"Is she warm enough?" Said another man.
"Has she eaten yet?" As if my stomach could hear their voices, it rumbled.
"Calm, my people. Her name is Saga, she is awake, but please do not barricade her with questions. I need a moment to collect my thoughts on the information she has given me. I can say with certainty that she is well and recovering. Now away with you all." He chuckled. I went back to the bed and sat in it. Maybe I could live here, hide myself among them. If he is my second chance, then maybe it's for the better. I closed my eyes and let the fire crackling soothe me into another sleep.
~Hakon's P. O. V~
A week has passed since Saga was banished, her sisters found her scent near a human clan. I hoped to the Moon Goddess that her second chance was not human. I would declare war on them if it were. Humans cannot know of our kind and if she's discovered, then all of Hel would break loose. That is of course, if she doesn't reject her wolf too. If she does that, then she becomes human as well. My heart would shatter if that were to happen.
"And who's fault is that, Hakon of the Snow Moon Pack?" A voice rang through my war room before the cracking of the Earth. "I do not take pairings lightly. I paired you with Saga because I saw a beautiful future with you and her." I look around and see nothing. With a bright light almost as consuming as the sun enters my halls. I had to avert my eyes before they were burned out of my skull. When the light faded, I opened my eyes to the most beautiful creature imaginable. Long braided white hair, one eye glowing blue, the other glowing black, her skin fairer than the most fairest she-wolf and she was wearing a long green dress with fitted long sleeves. "I understand your father threatened you and her, yet you're the Alpha, not your father. Instead you could have banished him. 'Tis what I saw and yet, she was the one sent away." Now I understand, I left my table chair and knelt on one knee.
"Forgive me, your grace." I bowed my head to her.
"Hear me this, child; do not pursue Saga any further. Yes, her mate is in fact human, a good human. And one that is equal in your title. Should you or your father threaten her, I will bless her wolf with the strength to destroy 5 alphas." That's the equal strength of 50 humans. When I looked up to see if she was merely bantering at me, she was gone. I had my answer. I couldn't just let her go, she was mine.
Leif: The main word here is 'Was'. She's no longer ours.
I don't care, Leif! I want her back! I need her back.
Leif: Even if I were to agree with you, you heard what her sisters said. She's behind walls taller than any wolf could jump. With gates made of wood and iron. Kali hurt herself trying to jump it. Thyra couldn't claw into it. Just leave her be, I will take a chosen mate and follow the Moon Goddess' vision.
I pushed Leif to the back of my mind and set up a mental block. No, I will do as the Moon Goddess said and not pursue her myself. That's when I had a thought enter my mind.
