Leah was silent for a long time.
Vincent spoke again, his voice calm but firm: "Leah, what happened with the knife was too dangerous. Don’t do something like that again. I know you’re worried about Frederick, but you can’t risk your own life like this. He would rather die himself than let anyone around him get hurt."
Leah remained silent, unsure how to explain. She hadn’t intended to block the knife for Frederick; she had just slipped and fallen into his arms. It just so happened that the fake knife had stabbed her at that exact moment.
