I reach the hotel and inform Lena about Noah’s surprise call and she squeals.
“I would love to stay here!” She declares and I frown
“It’s just for a few weeks at most, probably two or three months, so don’t get excited.”
“Oh f**k!” she says with her shoulder slump.
“Are you staying in New York for me?”
Oh God am I unintentionally forcing her?
She looks at me with wide eyes and exclaims. “No God No… I didn’t mean it like that Sophie…”
“You really don’t have to force yourself” I say, almost feeling bad.
Then she adds after a pause “I.. just loved being back here. So I got a little excited... and I would like to stay where you are.. otherwise it would be hard to handle business. We need to stick together. Right?” she says and I nod.
