Chapter 21Dave was having a pretty good day. He was surprised and gratified by how well things were going, how well he felt. Since waking up that morning--and waking early--he'd been in high spirits; he'd felt refreshed and energetic, buoyant and capable, more vigorous than he'd been in weeks...and the feeling had lingered.
