She glance at him to let him know she is listening not that she was looking forward to what he was about to say. She knew he had been meaning to talk to her since she brought Daniel back to meet them. She wasn’t avoiding him but was simply not excited about the words which were going to come out of his mouth mostly because she was well aware of the context they will be holding.
She tied up her shoes and waited for him to start speaking the words she already knew except she heard nothing. She knew he was waiting to for her to look at him, he always had this habit- wanting to have full attention of someone he wanted to speak with.
