I opened my mouth to speak, but before a single word could leave my lips, Beth emerged from the kitchen doorway with a bright smile on her face.
Her eyes lit up the moment she saw me.
"Baby!" She crossed the room in three quick strides, throwing her arms around my neck. "You're home early."
I forced on a smile, forcing my gaze away from Raven. Before I could respond, her soft lips found mine. Kissing her back, I wrapped my hands around her waist, pulling her closer into me. My brain was still spinning and trying to process the scene in front of me.
Beth pulled back, her smile widening as she gestured towards Raven. "Your colleague has been here almost all evening waiting for you."
