Chapter 3 Wednesday JAKE SINCLAIR AWOKE to strange sounds and, more importantly, to unfamiliar aches and some serious pain. He tried and failed to sit up, the effort of which caused him to groan loudly. “How do you feel?” a strange voice said. “Like s**t,” he said. He turned his head enough to see a good-looking redhead behind the steering wheel of the vehicle he was in. “Who the hell are you?” “I’m the guy who pulled you out of that burning wagon.” “The wagon!
