Thursday
JOSH PRODUCED A key, unlocked the front door, and held it open. “Welcome to your new home.”
“Thanks,” Jake said, as he walked through the open door and looked around. Josh flipped a switch, and when the lights came on, Jake found himself in a nicely appointed foyer. To his left he saw what he took to be a living room, and the room to the right was obviously a dining room.
Rex had followed them inside the house, and was wagging his tail furiously at Josh.
“I guess you need your water bowl filled, don’t you boy?” Josh said. “Let’s go.”
Rex and Jake followed Josh through the dining room into a spacious eat-in kitchen, and Josh retrieved a stainless steel bowl from an area near the door, rinsed it out, and filled it with water. He put it back in place. “Here you go, R
