Justin arrived at the company where he held the position of vice president. His demeanor Shifted from the soft side he displayed toward Ella to a cold and emotionless vice president. Inwardly, he acknowledged a growing fondness for her. Perhaps it stemmed from a long-held desire for a younger sister. As the workers greeted him, Justin briskly made his way to the VIP elevator, heading straight to Ethan’s office. In the elevator, he reviewed the information he had gathered about Ella, preparing himself for the meeting with Ethan. Arriving at Ethan’s office, Justin knocked on the door before entering. Ethan looked up from his desk, his expression unreadable. What do you have for me? He asked curtly. Justin handed him a folder containing the information about Ella. Here’s everything I could find. Justin replied, his tone professional. Ethan nodded, flipping through the documents with a critical eye. After a moment of silence, he looked up at Justin. “Good work. You can leave now, Ethan instructed, dismissing Justin with a wave of his hand. Justin exited the office, leaving Ethan to delve into the details of Ella’s background. It was already late when Ethan finished his work. He instructed his secretary to call his driver to take him home. As he waited for the driver, Ethan glanced at his watch and realized how late it had gotten. He sighed, feeling the weight of exhaustion settling in. His thoughts drifted to his mother, who had always been a source of comfort and support. He missed her dearly, especially during moments like these when the pressures of work seemed overwhelming. The journey home was smooth, with Ethan lost in his thoughts as the car glided through the streets of the city. Upon arrival, the caretaker greeted him warmly, while the household servants had already Retired for the night. “Where’s Ella?” he inquired as he removed his suit. “She’s in her room, young master. She hasn’t left since she arrived,” the caretaker replied respectfully. Justin nodded and headed straight to his room. He needed to rest after a long day at work. As he settled into bed, thoughts of his mother lingered on his mind. ...………. The next morning, Justin woke up feeling distraught. After getting dressed, Justin instructed one of the maids to summon Ella to his study Immediately. The maid knocked on Ella’s door repeatedly, but received no response. Scared and frustrated, they had to retrieve an extra key to unlock the door. The maid couldn't help but think, “Why does this worthless girl have to cause us so much trouble?” Finally, they managed to open the door, only to find Ella sleeping peacefully on her bed. The maid shook her gently, urging her to wake up and informing her of Justin’s request. Ella stirred awake, her eyes widening in alarm as she realized the situation she was in. Hastily, she got up and followed the maid to Justin’s study, her heart pounding with fear How did I sleep this much? She thought! The maid’s gaze bore into Ella with evident disdain, her expression tinged with disgust as they made their way to Justin’s study. As the maid and Ella approached Ethan’s study, the maid gently tapped on the door, hoping For a reply. Ethan’s voice boomed from inside, “Come in.” The maid opened the door, allowing Ella to step inside hesitantly as she walked behind her. Ethan turned to them and asked, “What took you so long?” The maid tried to explain, but Ethan interrupted the maid’s explanation, saying, “I’m not talking to you. You can go.” “What took you so long?” Ethan asked with a displeased voice, his gaze fixed on Ella. Her heart raced as she struggled to find the right words to explain. She stammered, “I-I’m sorry, sir. I was… I didn’t hear the knock. “You need to be more attentive, Ella. Punctuality is crucial,” he admonished, his tone firm. Now, let’s not waste any more time. I have some matters to discuss with you. Ethan gestured for her to take a seat opposite him, and with fear, Ella nodded. She complied silently, her nerves still on edge. She couldn’t shake the feeling of being in trouble, even though she wasn’t entirely sure why she had been summoned. “I have rules for you,” Ethan said sternly, his gaze piercing. Ella swallowed hard, her heart pounding in her chest as she listened to Ethan’s stern words. She nodded slightly, a mixture of fear and apprehension coursing through her veins. “Yes, sir,” she murmured softly, her voice barely above a whisper. She knew she had no choice but to obey if she wanted to avoid any further trouble. Ethan said firmly, “You must follow these rules.” Ella nodded, understanding the seriousness of his words. Ethan corrected her, “Firstly, it’s not sir. Call me young master. And you don’t nod when I talk to you. I need words. “She nodded again, which angered Ethan. “I need you to speak,” he reiterated firmly. “O-o-okay, y-young m-m-master,” she stammered, her voice trembling slightly. “I hate lies,” he said sharply, his eyes narrowing. “So don’t you dare lie to me.” “If anybody bullies you, you have to tell me,” he instructed firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. “You must not leave this house without my permission,” he added, emphasizing the Importance of obedience. “A tutor will come here every day to tutor you for the next college exams,” Ethan continued, His tone leaving no argument. “And I don’t want to hear news of your failure. Trust me, you Won’t like what I’ll do.” “You must not get close to the opposite gender,” Ethan added firmly, his eyes locking with Ella’s. Ella’s head spun from all these rules and instructions, her mind struggling to process everything Ethan was saying. Ethan’s stern voice continued, “I hate dirt, so you must always be neat. And don’t get too friendly with Justin . The caretaker will inform you about the curfew.” “There will be consequences if you fail to comply,” Ethan emphasized sternly. With a cold voice, he inquired, “Justin fed you yesterday, didn’t he?” Ella looked visibly scared, her hands trembling slightly as she nodded in response to Ethan’s question. Her heart sank as she felt guilty for putting Justin in trouble. Ethan’s smile sent shivers down Ella’s spine, its coldness making her feel even more uneasy. Okay, do you understand everything I said?” he asked.”Yes, young master,” she replied. “What was the third rule?” Ethan inquired, his eyes narrowing. Ella was caught off guard, causing her to stammer, “Uhm, uhm…” She knew the rules, but Which one of them was the third one? Ethan flicked her on her forehead, and tears welled up in her eyes from the pain. “You can leave now,” he said dismissively. Ella stood up, her heart racing as she resisted the urge to run away. “Wait,” he said, catching her attention. “What now?” she wondered silently to herself as Ethan approached her, his gaze fixating on the mole on her ear. Ethan reached out and brushed his finger over the mole on Ella’s ear, his expression Unreadable. “Where did you get this?” he asked. Ella flinched at his touch but managed to stammer, “I—I don’t know young master. ” Ethan’s brows furrowed slightly as he studied her reaction. “Very well,” he said finally, withdrawing his hand. “You may go.” With a sense of relief, Ella hurried out of the room, her mind racing with questions about Ethan’s sudden interest in her mole.
