She was Enchanting - John’s POV

I smell her arousal as she’s sitting on my lap. I quickly throw some money on the table and carry her to the door. I set her down when we’re against my car. The bewildered look on her face was exciting for me.

“I don’t want anyone smelling what’s mine.” I watch as her cheeks turn that gorgeous shade of pink. I kiss her forehead and open the car door for her. She smiles and gets in. I look around quickly to make sure no one is around to see, then I quickly run around and slide in the drivers door. I look over to see Ember with a quizzical look on her face. I chuckle.

“Werewolves are fast.” I inform her.

“So I’m learning.” She bites her lip as she stares at me. Her arousal is intoxicating. “If you don’t take care of it. I will.” Silas informs me. The hell you will I bark at him. Our first mating will be mine.

“We’ll see about that.” The ba$t@rd smirks back at me. I put up a block.

“What just happened in there?” She pokes my forehead. A shoot her a smile.

“It’s just me talking to Silas. More like arguing just there, but yeah.” I explain. She nods her head.

“Your eyes, they get this glazed look to them when you did that. What was he saying?” She had this cute expression on her face. Like a kid opening up a gift.

“I’d rather not say.” She fake pouts and I laugh at her.

“Aww please. Tell me what he said.” She begs. She reaches her hand over and rests it on my knee.

“He was telling me to take care of your arousal, or he would.” Her cheeks blushed pink again.

“If and when you’re ready.” I reassure her.

“I want to. Just maybe a little bit more time?” I can tell she’s nervous.

“I’m not going to rush you.” She nods her head.

“So how do you mark me?” Her eagerness was cute.

“I bite you.” Her eyes practically bulged out her head and I couldn’t help but laugh.

“It only hurts for a couple seconds then it’s one of the most pleasurable feelings one can experience.” I reach out and hold her hand.

“Do they have to be done together?” She looks at me waiting for an answer.

“No they don’t have to be. Usually it’s done during mating, just before climax.” She frowns.

“Sounds like you’ve done that before. Marking. I mean.” She’s cute when she’s jealous. I pull her head up so she’s staring into my eyes.

“You’ll be the only woman I ever mark. Wolves mate for life.” The smile that came across her face when she heard my words was adorable.

“Good.” She bites her lip and before I know it, she leans in and gives me a quick kiss on the cheek. I stare at her in amazement. Moon goddess really blessed me with her. This was going fairly smoothly.

“Did you have plans today?” I hope she doesn’t, I don’t want to leave her just yet.

“No. I was just going to do some grocery shopping later. And maybe go for another run.”

“Another run?” I picked her up at 9. I heard most women like their beauty sleep. She giggles.

“It clears my mind. I usually go for a run in the morning when I’m not at the station.” She explains. I nod my head.

“If you’re the Alpha, does that mean your brother is the Beta?” She leans into her seat.

“He was. But he’s not anymore after some things happened. He met his mate, she rejected him. He lashed out and ignored an order which ended poorly for my pack members involved.” She nods her head.

“Your pack, when can I meet some of them?” I love her enthusiasm.

“You are amazing. I was worried you’d have a nervous breakdown when I told you about this world. But instead you’re asking when you get to meet my pack members.” All I could do was stare at her. She was enchanting.

“You’ve met a couple of them already actually.” She perks up in her seat.

“Damon, that makes sense as he’s your brother. The other shirtless guy who was at the apartment building fire?” I chuckle at her and shake my head.

“Yeah the shirtless guy is named Alec. He’s my beta.” She nods her head. I wonder if I should tell her about her captain. I heard her chuckle and I turned to look at her.

“Are you driving somewhere or are we just going to sit here outside of Mike’s in front of curious eyes?” She holds my gaze with her eyes as she motions to Mike’s restaurant. I look over to find Mike and two others spying on us through the blinds. I felt a bit embarrassed by their actions.
