My fiery Luna - John’s POV

1367 Words
I’m enjoying having her snaked into my arm when Mike links me. “Hey Alpha? Sorry to intrude.” “No apologies Mike. It’s okay. What up?” I link back. “I’ve got to get going, you guys are welcome to stay though. My keys are on the counter by the dessert display if you wouldn’t mind locking up?” “Yeah I can do that. Where do you want me to leave them for you?” I quickly link back. He answers quickly and I’m back with my girl. “Our girl.” Silas corrects my thought. Same thing I roll my eyes at him. I look back down at her and smile. She’s right. A couple hours is all we’ve known each other, but the pull from the mate bond is so strong. And she’s human. I’m surprised at her eagerness to get to know me. I’m a stranger to her. “We won’t be. It’s better that mate is feeling open to getting to know us.” Silas reasons. How will she react when she learns about werewolves though? “Ask her.” Silas suggests. “Here’s a bit of an odd one. Do you like paranormal things? Like vampires, witches oh and werewolves?” I purposely emphasized werewolves. I stare at her waiting to read her reaction. She laughs before answering. “Are we talking like movies, books?” She counters. I just stare at her and wait. “Oh, okay you mean in real life.” She states. She knows? How could she know? We’re supposed to keep to ourselves and our paranormal identity is kept rather secretive. Need to know basis kind of thing “she’s joking idiot.” Silas spits out to get my attention. “To answer that, you’re right. It is a bit of an odd question. But my answer is yes. I do enjoy that kind genres for movies and books. I prefer werewolves over the other two. A wolf being my favourite animal and all.” Relief floods over me, and I nod my head encouraging her to continue. “Actually, on the ride back to the station tonight, I swore I could have seen this giant wolf. It was beautiful. He was running just in front of the tree line. I had tried to get Kate to see but when she looked, the wolf was gone. I kind of felt crazy, like my mind was playing tricks on me.” She laughs that off and looks up at me. So she did see me. “Oh look at you. Feeling all warm and fuzzy.” Silas coos. She saw us, and thought we were beautiful I rally back. That shut him up. She amazes me. This should be easy then I think to myself. An idea pops up into my mind. “You said you thought my nickname was Alpha?” I stare down at her beautiful eyes. And smiles and nods. “Do you know what the title of an Alpha’s mate is?” I ask. “Very smooth.” Silas approves. She nods her head and smile sup at me. “Luna.” She takes the word right out of my mouth. “Look at us. Alpha and Luna.” She teases. But she has no idea just how turned on I am by hearing her refer to us as Alpha and Luna. Oh baby, you have no idea. “My fiery Luna.” I reach up and caress the side of her face and her breath stops. It feels like minutes go by and we’re just staring into each other’s eyes. “My Alpha.” She counters. “If you don’t kiss her now, I’m taking control.” Silas threatens. “Oh no you don’t. Our first will be mine. You can be along for the ride” I throw back at him before putting a block up. I don’t want to freak her out by making a move this early, but she hasn’t pulled back and our faces are just inches from one another. “Can I kiss you?” I ask still holding her eyes with mine. I watch as she blushes and smirks. She is breathtaking. She leans into me ever so slightly. “It wasn’t your turn to ask a question.” Oh she’s teasing me now. I chuckle and raise an eyebrow. I watch as she takes a breath in attempt to steady her racing heartbeat. She’s adorable. She looks up at me with those gorgeous blue eyes. “It’s my turn. Can you kiss me?” She asks. Without hesitating I lean down to kiss her. I kiss her and it’s like an eruption of heat and fire. I’m about to pull away as to not push my luck, but to my surprise she deepens our kiss and places her hand on my chest. I could just devour her here. “Then do so. Can’t you smell it? Her arousal? Mate wants us.” Silas breaks through my block. Oh I want to. I would never force myself on her. It has to be by her pace. We break apart and her breathing is still a little shaky. I can’t help but smile. “We can take her breath away and make her shake in ways no other can.” Silas purrs in my head. I smile at her shy smile. Her phone pings. He reaches for her bag and pulls out her phone. She gasps. She looks at me with a shocked expression on her face. “Oh I didn’t realize the time. It’s a little after midnight.” She says and shows me the time on her phone. I didn’t realize we had been here that long either. She must be getting tired. Especially after a call like today. “I feel bad. Mike’s probably waiting for us so he can lock up.” She says as she’s gathering her things. “It’s okay. He left his keys and asked me to lock up. Did you want to head out though?” I don’t want to leave her just yet. “He did? I don’t remember him coming back.” She said. I smile at her. “We we’re in the middle of talking when he popped his head out and showed me where he was putting the keys.” I reason. “Oh you’re lying now.” Silas quirks. She thinks werewolves are from movies and books. You think I’m going to tell her that I am one and we can mind link each other? I argue with him. “Oh, okay. Well do you mind if we head out then?” “Not at all.” I slide out of the booth and offer my hand to her to help her out. She giggles as she takes my hand and I pull her up and out of the booth towards me. I watch as she rises onto her toes. “She’s trying to kiss you idiot.” Silas cracks. Shut up! I lean down into her kiss and pull her closer, as if that was even possible given how close she was standing in front of me to begin with. Ember pulls away from our kiss and hugs me. I wrap my arms around her swallowing her in a bear hug. I hear her sigh contently. If you only knew just how much I was already falling for you. We stand there holding each other for a few minutes. She sighs again as she pulls away from me. I hold up her coat for her to put on. She slides into her coat and starts collecting the plates off of the table. I take the plates from her and run them into the kitchen and place them in the kitchen. When I return she’s standing by the counter looking out the front. I come up from behind her and grab her hand. “Ready to go?” I ask her. She almost look sad when she nods her head. I grab the keys off the counter and move towards the door. I open the door for her and follow her out.
