The Realm War

Chpt VII LORD VALDENAR

"Where to?" King Edmond asked.

"The Temple of Rubies," Weston replied. But then King Breckenridge showed up.

"Guys, I've got some news for you. While I was..."

"Searching for one of the crystals, you were attacked by some men, and nearly killed," the three interrupted.

"Why, yes. Apparently you already know. What do they want?"

"It's a long story."

So they all told the story to King Breckenridge, while they were on their way to the next temple of course. When they got there, King Edmond and Breckenridge decided to go to the Temple of Emeralds.

While King Weston and Luxembourg were searching for the Crystal of Rubies, some of those men appeared.

"Looking for something?" he asked. And then Weston noticed that the man was holding the Crystal of Rubies!

"Get him!" Weston yelled. But then they all disappeared.

"Ugh! We needed that!" Weston complained.

"Hey, maybe we can beat them to the Temple of Dark Souls," Luxembourg suggested.

"Yeah, let's do that, it may be the most powerful crystal."

When they got to the Temple of Dark Souls, there was no way to get in.

"How are we supposed to get inside?" Weston asked.

"Hold on a second, let me find the lever. Found it!" said Luxembourg, opening the doors.

"How did you know that was there?" Weston questioned.

"I have my ways."

So they went inside.

"Wait here, I'll get the crystal," said Luxembourg, walking away. It wasn't long before he came back with the crystal, but something was wrong, very wrong.

"King Luxembourg? Are you okay?"

And then Luxembourg came at Weston with his sword out! "Luxembourg! What are you doing!?"

"Doing what I should've done a long time ago! Men!"

And then a whole bunch of men showed up. "Yes Lord Valdenar?" said one of them.

"Lord Valdenar? You're Lord Valdenar!? I thought you were on our side?" Weston asked angrily.

"No, no. I was never on your side, I just made it seem that way, so that I could get all of the crystals, and use them to create the legendary Destroyer. And now I have them."

"First of all," said Weston, "you don't have all of the crystals, and second of all: what is the Destroyer?"

"To answer your first question; yes, I do have all of the crystals. And to answer your question about the Destroyer: you'll find out soon enough."

Then Lord Valdenar put the Crystal of Dark Souls on the breastplate of his armour, resulting in a change of appearance. He became nine feet tall, had huge shoulders, and had glowing purple eyes.

"Behold," said Lord Valdenar, "the power of Dark Souls!"

And then he shot purple lightning at King Weston.

"The power of Lord Volkmann is now mine!"

And then Lord Valdenar swung his sword at Weston.

"Time to end you once and for all!" Lord Valdenar said in a powerful voice. But King Weston dodged the sword, and then ran for the entrance, then the Dark Lord started to close the doors! But Weston made it out just before they shut.

"I've got to find the others," he said to himself.

"Wait," said King Edmond, "King Luxembourg is Lord Valdenar!?"

"I'm afraid so," Weston replied.

"I knew something was fishy about that guy!" said King Breckenridge.

"Oh really? Than why didn't you tell anybody?" King Edmond asked.

"Because... well... um... shut up Edmond!" Breckenridge said angrily.

"That's what I thought. So what does Luxembourg... I mean, Valdenar plan to do with the crystals?"

"I don't know, and I'd rather not want to find out. But all I do know, is that it has something to do with the North Kingdom," Weston replied.

"Well we better get there, and fast, because he's probably already there, and he has all of the crystals!"

"Now," said Lord Valdenar, back in the North Kingdom, "to put all of the crystals into their places."

And then he started putting the eight crystals into their places. And when he put the the last crystal in, the kingdom began to shake.

"It's too late," said Weston, at the North Kingdom.

What they saw was something that they all thought was impossible: the North Kingdom had become a walking fortress! And then they saw Lord Valdenar standing on top of it.

"Let me introduce you," the Dark Lord said, "to the legendary Destroyer!"

King Weston shot an energy beam at the Destroyer with his sword, but it didn't do anything!

"You think that your lousy sword can defeat the Destroyer? Well think again, because nothing stops the Destroyer!" said the Dark Lord. A moment later, a huge portal opened up, and the Destroyer was going into it.

"We have to stop him, before he gets away!" said Edmond.

"Come with me, we have a giant to stop!" said Weston.

They all hopped onto the Destroyer's foot, and went into the portal with it.

And when they got to the other side, they were in a completely different Realm!
