Chapter IV: One Shall Stand, And One Shall Fall

Chpt IV

ONE SHALL STAND, AND ONE SHALL FALL

"I think I may have found the tower," I said, pointing to an old broken down tower.

"That's it. You go inside, it may disintegrate anyone who is near the Chosen One," said Jonathan.

So I went inside by myself. And when I found the crystal, I grabbed it.

"Aaaaah!" I yelled, a stab of pain running through my entire body. At hearing me scream Jonathan ran inside.

"Sir Weston, are you okay?" he questioned.

"I feel so powerful, powerful enough to destroy an entire army," I said, feeling the power run through my veins.

"You're still on the good side, right?" Jonathan asked.

"Don't worry, I'm still on your side. Now, let's get back to Aldenmire before Lord Volkmann destroys it."

When we got back to the Fallen Kingdom, I held the Legendary Crystal up to the portal, and activated it.

"Aldenmire, I'm coming home," said I stepping throught the vortex. When we went through the portal, we ended up in Aldenmire, and in the exact location we wanted to end up in, too.

"Sir Weston? Where did you come from?" questioned the captain. "The Island of Spirits," I replied.

"You were on the Island of Spirits?"

"Yeah. Now, get me my horse, and prepare for battle, We're going out to fight the Knights of Death," said I.

"Yes sir. Men, prepare for battle! we're going out to fight!" the captain ordered.

A few minutes later, the entire army was on the field of battle.

"Fire!" the captain shouted. And because I had the Legendary Crystal, I was able to go out and fight alone without getting killed.

"Keep firing, I'm going out there," I shouted to the captain.

Then I went out into the open.

"What's he doing?" said one of the knights. "How many times is he gonna do this? He's going to get himself killed. Get him out of there!" the captain shouted. But before any of the knights could get to me, I took out the Knights of Death with one swing of my sword.

"What the ...?" the captain said, startled.

"This ends now!" I shouted. And then I destroyed the dragon. "Lord Volkmann, here I come."

It wasn't long before I got to Lord Volkmann's lair.

"Lord Volkmann!" I shouted, walking towards the Dark Lord.

And when he saw me, he jumped out of his throne in surprise. "Impossible! I thought I knocked you into oblivion," said he.

"No. You just sent me to the Island of Spirits," I replied.

Then he looked at my sword and saw the crystal.

"The Legendary Crystal! That means you're the Chosen One!"

"How do you know about it?" I questioned.

"Because I was the first to search for it," said he.

Then it hit me. "No. It can't be. You're Sir Weston the First!"

"I was Sir Weston the First," said Volkmann.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"When I was a boy, I..."

"I know that story," I interrupted.

"But did Glastonbury tell you how he got stranded on the Island of Spirits?"

"No, he never mentioned that."

"Well, I'm the one who sent him there. And did he ever mention who the Queen of Aldenmire was?"

"No."

"Her name was Queen Theresa Wingston. And when I revealed myself to the king and the queen, they nearly fell on their faces. You should've seen the look in their eyes. After that, I took the queen and killed her."

"Why? What did she ever do to you for you to murder her?"

"To get back at the king for what he did all those years ago."

"For what?"

"He banished me!" Volkmann thundered. "I had done nothing wrong! At least not intentionally."

"You murderer!" I yelled, unsheathing my sword.

I ran towards him, but before I got to him, he shielded himself with Sharon Anderson.

"Not another step, or your beloved will perish," said Volkmann.

"You coward! If you're so powerful, come out and fight like a man!" "Alright, bring it!" said he, shoving Sharon to the side. He ran towards me and shot a wave of dark magic at me, but before it hit me, I sliced it in half.

"One shall stand, and one shall fall," said I, using my sword to blast an energy beam at. When it hit him, it him crashing into the castle of Aldenmire.

"So you were that spirit inside that chamber."

"Yes, I was. And my face will be the last you'll ever see."

"Not today."

I then ran towards him and swung my sword, sending a huge wave of light at him, which Lord Volkmann couldn't block. It knocked his arm clean off.

"Aaaaaah! My arm!" he shouted in pain.

"Lord Volkmann, be gone!!!" said I.

Then I did it again, and again, until the last swing of my sword destroyed Lord Volkmann completely. "NOOOO!!!" Volkmann screamed, before he exploded.

"What was that?" questioned one of the knights.

"It came from the castle! We've got to help Sir Weston!" said the captain.

When they got there, they saw nothing but smoke.

"Sir Weston! Are you in there!?" shouted the captain.

"Samuel! SAMUEL!!!" yelled Sharon, who had apparently joined the group.

"I'm sorry Miss Anderson, but he's gone," said the captain.

And just then, I walked out of the smoke.

"Samuel!" Sharon shouted with joy.

"Sharon!" I replied.

"I thought I lost you."

"Well, since I'm here, can I asked you something?"

"Yes Samuel, anything."

Weston took a deep breath.

"Will you marry me?"

"Oh Samuel, yes!" said she, kissing me.

About a week later, we had our wedding. At the end of the wedding, we all got onto our horses and went to our new kingdom, the Island Kingdom, which I am now king of. And because we built a portal, we could get there instantly.

"Alright men, to the Island Kingdom!" said I.

And we all went through the portal.
