Elena POV
“What?” Get me pregnant? Was this a joke? I searched his face carefully, there wasn’t even a hint of a smile on his lips. “You’re serious.” I whispered.
He paced the room while running his fingers through his hair. “One of the other Alpha Kings is coming here. We need to get you pregnant before then.”
“What does it have to do with me if he comes here or not?” I asked carefully.
“It has everything to do with you!”
I flinched and he winced, an apologetic look in his eyes. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to yell.”
He moved closer and looked down into my eyes. “It has everything to do with you Elena. After the Great war, fewer wolves were born with abilities and the ones who were, all died out within a few years, why do you think that is?”
“Their bodies couldn’t handle it?” I asked
