Elena POV
Draven growled lowly and Marcus immediately snapped his gaze away from me.
“I-I’ve already sent warriors after them Alpha, they should be caught and returned to the pack in a day or two.”
“Good.” Draven nodded. “Let me know as soon as they are back in your custody.”
“Yes, Alpha,” Marcus tried to smile flatteringly but it looked wrong, like he was about to cry, “if it’s not an inconvenience, would you like to stay for a while so we can welcome you properly?”
Draven looked down at me questioningly and I nodded. The invitation to stay was the perfect excuse I needed, since I already planned on going to see the witch doctor.
“This way, Alpha.” Marcus gestured towards the pack main hall but I shook my head.
“We’ll walk around for a bit before coming back.”
