Draven POV Heavy footsteps pounded down the hallway as I walked but I wasn’t focused on that. Instead, all I could think about was how much I hated it. The pristine halls full of families with dull faces as they talked in low tones. The way their shoulders hunched into their chests as they waited on benches for the doctor’s diagnosis or the way they pinched themselves to keep from falling asleep. A half empty cup of coffee forgotten on the bench beside them. I hated it.
