59 Stepping into the apartment again now I could see was not a good experience. My anxiety rose and I had to take slow, deep breaths. Darion had an arm around me. There were flashes of memories and I had to get a grip on reality and tell myself it was in the past and Starrick was dead and gone. As I looked around and the familiar floral scents of the room hit me, I managed to calm down again. I sighed and let the tension leave me. “How are you doing?” Darion asked me. I smiled up at him, admiring his gorgeous blue eyes. I’d missed them so much. “I’m good. Better than I thought I’d be. I’ll be okay.” He smiled and swept me up into his arms as the door closed behind us.
