29 "What's this all about?" Bear asked. Austin closed the door to his quarters. "I don't know." They started walking in silence through the busy halls of the Formidable. Since returning from the battle over Ashia with the bizarre spacecraft, Wilkos had only provided the Scorpions with a short debriefing, saying he would give more detail about the situation when he could. Wilkos appeared to be in shock. Austin couldn't blame him. Although none of the Tridents had suffered catastrophic damage and all Star Runners had returned safely to the carrier, the sight of unknown hostiles followed by an incoming Zahlian task force had rattled him to the core.
