Kitiana and the Mystery Man

Meet the Characters

Kitiana is the main character, and the point of view we will be following in this book. She has three amazing friends who try their best to get her to come to at least one party with them each semester. Her friends names are Saffron, Monet and India. Kitiana goes by Kit most of the time, and is majoring in hospitality management with a culinary core.

Saffron, Monet and India are Kitiana's closest friends and have been her friends since they were all little kids. Saffron was Kit's first friend, and has since been her best friend. Monet and India became her friends about a year later while they were all in fourth grade. Saffron, Monet and India love going to parties, and enjoy trying to get Kit to tag along. Especially when the party is being thrown by someone of higher social class than the four of them. Kit doesn't like going to parties, but enjoys hanging out with her girlfriends. So, they came to an agreement, which is that Kit will go to two parties every year, but Kit chooses what parties she does and does not go to.

Kitiana loves her friends and family, but she hasn't spoken to her family since she moved into her college dorm. She doesn't even go home during breaks because she fears that her family won't approve of choices that she has made regarding to her tattoos and piercings. She also can't face her father after what he did to her for three years, and she still hasn't told her mother about what happened when she was at work on the weekends.
