A light- skinned, tall guy in his early twenties alighted from a cab at the airport. Alfred dressed gorgeously as he stunningly appeared to be wearing a dark jean trouser, sparkling white T-SHIRT, a pair of lovely sneakers and crowned the dressing by putting on a brown face cap. Alfred pulled out his suitcase from the trunk of the cab and paid his fares to the driver. The driver drove on. Alfred pulled his suitcase around following his path to the reception of the airport. He smelled nice by the way, with the help of the fragrance he had applied on himself. Luck has indeed shone on Alfred to have been given a scholarship by the Principal of his attended high school to study abroad being the result of his overwhelming, outstanding and unbeatable academic performance. Of course, he had gotten a visa for himself from a reliable, tested and trusted agent. His uncle bought a ticket for him a few days back only for him to have a nice flight tonight to the prestigious, well known United Kingdom- London for the completion of his education. Nigeria has always been Alfred's father's land. Unfortunately, he didn't grow up with that father let alone enjoy a taste of fatherly love however, a great person that was more than a father nurtured him after his biological parents encountered a fatal motor accident that claimed their consciousness forever. So pathetic!. Alfred lived with his disciplined uncle who ensured all traits or manners of indiscipline are shunned from Alfred.' Alfred was indeed instilled with a sense of diligence and responsibility' which contributed to the gargantuan, inestimable, and roaring success he had achieved. His uncle was happy for him and super proud of him for his achievement. . Alfred was happy for himself. Excitement was glaringly written all over him. He never chose to be ungrateful to his uncle for his strict but positive and productive impacts in his innocent, dearest life. It was tonight Alfred would be traveling abroad. Being abroad had always been what Alfred wanted but he once discouraged himself that such desire was mere a dreamland that has no bit of reality .But shockingly, reality emerged. United Kingdom, there he goes. Alfred had arrived two hours before his flight and was about to commence the navigation of the airport, then suddenly, nervousness overshadowed excitement that was all over him earlier. He now tapped his foot on the floor, releasing light carbon dioxide from his agaped, round mouth. Shaft of fear confronting Alfred at the moment was now questionable. Was he nervous because he would be leaving his father's land to another's to study? Or he was nervous because he would have to leave his only uncle he called dad behind to the country?. Or he was probably nervous because he was over excited? The questions remain rhetoric until uncle alighted from a cab. He could see him from his spot. He saw that he alighted and started perambulating and gesticulating to some people, presuming he was describing and looking for him. Soon, he emerged to his sight and they embraced each other passionately. " I thought you won't eventually show up," Alfred said with a shaked voice and misty eyes. "Of course I will. Is everything ok with you? Why do you look teary?"he asked in bewilderment " I'm nervous," he replied. "Why?"he asked. Suddenly, he bursted into laughter, giving him a warm embrace. "It's excitement mixed with anxiety. You have nothing to worry about" he convinced and continued" success is already yours. You've achieved a roaring success and I'm super proud of you. Do not forget or ignore those words of advice I gave. Do not succumb to rascality and indiscipline when you get there. Always remain the easy going, gentle but indispensable and composed person you have always been."he oriented. "Thanks uncle" he appreciated. " "You mean the world to me. I'll really miss you so much'' " I will too, my boy" . They embraced each other again. " By the way, you left your binoculars at home. I've brought it for you" Uncle brought out a pair of binoculars. ' Oh f**k!. I never thought I would have left it" he said. Alfred was a guy that is addicted to taking pictures and videos, especially natural ones. By the way, that would enhance his academic progress on his course of study_ mass communication. He collected his pair of binoculars from his uncle and decided to take pictures and videos from a distance as usual. He smiled while taking pictures of bats flying in the sky as well as the galaxy of stars. He took video, however, all of a sudden, his smiling face turned to a resentful, grieved one. He couldn't just imagine what his eyes had seen from the video he had taken. Sonner, the video was put on a halt only for him to look weird and harbour resentment. What has he seen? A ghost? His dead parents rising from graves? Or his girlfriend doing some nasty, naughty and debaucherous things with some guy? Mood swings of Alfred after the video didn't bother uncle at all. He presumed he was overreacting as a result of anxiety. ' How I wish I could help.." he muttered with tear-laden eyes" but it's quite unfortunate" he took a glance at his wrist watch. "Stop being emotional bro. You really gotta start going now so you don't miss your flight" uncle said. They embraced each other again. " Goodbye uncle" " Bye. Have a nice flight" Alfred kept his pair of binoculars in his suitcase and left to navigate the airport so he wouldn't miss his flight *************
