Lucas and Victor continued their walk through the forest. The grounds around them were filled with purple chrysanthemum flowers which meant only one thing; they were very close. What they couldn’t tell was how close they were. Victor halted abruptly and Lucas caught a whiff of what he sensed. Victor was better at sensing such presences than he was. The presence was a bit obscure, but it felt warm. It was the kind of aura that you could easily pass up on because of how well it blended with the forest. But they could both tell that it was different. It had a presence of its own. Like a flame, it could be warm, but if threatened, it could also destroy everything in sight.
